As an avid reader of almost anything I have noticed a plethora of articles which, in one way or another, declare "SOMEONE MUST DO SOMETHING" about (fill in blank). Illegal aliens, gun ownership, government spending and/or regulations, vaccines, WHO, UN: the list goes on and on. Many offer the author's opinion without, I might add, any information to indicate what they have personally done in response other than the expression of opinion. There are many words to describe such people. The one I choose is bogus.
Bogus: --adjective 1. not genuine; counterfeit; spurious; sham .
1st - The majority of these people are more or less the product of the concept that Society is not the problem, people are. They believe in the superstition/religion called "security", a concept of intellect not found elsewhere in Nature. Further, they believe that "security" is provided by someone other than themselves.
2nd -- They believe their solution is the only solution and will continue to apply said solution because of their belief in it, even in the face of proven facts to the contrary.
All of which boils down to the twin concepts of "SOMETHING IS WRONG" and "IT'S NOT MY FAULT". For now let's address the latter by a couple of examples, as follows:
a. GOVERNMENT: Executive and Administrative Branches: Effectively controlled SOLELY by the Republicrats [republican + democratic parties]. These "two" parties have been pretending to represent all Americans for over a hundred years now through a "majority" vote representing 5% of the population. They have destroyed {or have aided and abetted the destruction of} our economy, our money, our educational systems and infrastructure.
Common Solution: Keep switching between parties each election. How's that been working? People who keep doing the same thing and expecting different results are either insane or they don't really care. They just maintain the appearance of caring. They are responsible for what we have now.
Practical Solution: Put a third party in control. If registered voters started changing their registration to a real third party [not "tea-baggers] like Libertarian RIGHT NOW, then you would see real change before the elections.
Personal: Opt out of the system and live without government aid and actively resist statutory intrusion into your life. Pay cash and/or minimize credit usage.
b. EDUCATION: Federal: State: (see above through common solution)
Practical Solution: Federal: Eliminate Department of Education completely. The only purpose of the federal government is to ensure equal access of education to citizens.
State: Elementary: Teach basics -- Math comprehension, reading comprehension, writing skills, history comprehension, music appreciation, science basics. Return to the teaching methods used in the fifties with updated additions and grades based upon merit, NOT the "feel good" grading systems currently employed.
State: High School: Teach advanced courses in the above + speech, languages, critical thinking, computer skills.
Personal: Home schooling, private schools.
Take responsibility, don't point fingers. Fix yourself first: society will survive without your input.
Freedom is a choice. It's your only choice unless you prefer slavery or involuntary servitude. Therefore I pay lawful taxes only. I choose what I put into my body for sustenance, recreation and/or medical treatment without regard to government regulation. I chose to home school. I continually educate myself. I'm a Libertarian. I own a gun. My name for members of the criminal class who attack me or damage/steal my property is "fertilizer". My term for "mandatory" vaccines is assault and battery. I don't require a "license" to work or a "permit" to construct or repair my own habitat. Further, I am responsible for my actions and reactions. This is sometimes referred to as "being an adult".
