The House Judiciary Committee is set to hold a hearing on Friday on Congressman Dennis Kucinich's measure to impeach President Bush. The single article of impeachment accuses Bush of deceiving Congress in order to authorize the invasion of Iraq. In an online video, Kucinich thanked the scores of Americans who had written in to support his efforts. Rep. Dennis Kucinich: "We're in danger of losing our country to a war based on lies, to destruction of our civil liberties, but it's your commitment and your willingness to stand up and speak out that has enabled me to take a stand and to say not only are we going to save what's right and save what's dear to us, but we're going to hold this administration accountable so that it never happens again."- The House Judiciary Committee is expected to hear from both opponents and backers of the impeachment measure. "Having lived outside the USA, away from the incessant daily blather of info-tainment that sadly passes for news reportage and journalism, I think I can safely claim a more international point of view than most in the US who live within the corporate media's 'cone of silence' yet are inundated with spin-sters, shock-jocks and Faux News blow-hards."
Well politics are great and I support the Democratic Party.

This is Pelosi's Booby Prize I wrote about it yesterday: Hey America! Pelosi Handed You a Booby Prize! What Are You Going To Do With It? When you add the Salon.com story about how Pelosi and Conyers could be implicated in the crimes of the Bushies - it all becomes clear on why they won't allow real substantial impeachment investigations - because it would absolutely lead to their own indictments. Here's the Salon.com story: by

64 year old retired factory worker. Lifetime democrat; now a member of the Ron Paul revolution.
The two party system is an illusion There are a few good men and women in Washington, very few. Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Marcy Kaptur, come to mind. The power-elite, along with the cental bankers who own the MSM, give us the illusion of choice; where in fact, they control the vast majority of both parties. Obama and McCain are both CFR members, controlled by these big money interests. Every few years they hold an election and make promises. Watch and see what happens with this impeachment bill. Two years ago, the democrats took over as the majority in both houses of Congress, promising to stop Bush and his war of lies. We are at a tipping point in history. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the real patriots in government. If Jesse Ventura would run as an Independent, I truly believe he could win. We are totally fed up with business as usual. by

Impeachment hearings, Great! A step is a step. Thanks for the update. I did what I could. I hope it helps. I have sent letters to each Representative and Senator from Kentucky but I can tell you not one responded. I told every major Newspaper in Kentucky this in an Editorial. Not one newspaper printed it. I spoke with one Editor who told me he wouldn't print anything on it because it wasn't news. It is not just Representatives and Senators who are the problem. Newspapers also do not want to get involved in a controversial issue like this. I suspect they don't want to be the first when the big papers are not talking about it. The lack of outrage, the total lack of recognition of the immorality and the degrading of standards and values in Washington seems gone from the news media. It as if nothing surprises them today so nothing outrageos is newsworthy anymore. Nobody cares, so why worry about it, why investigate or even print it. Let's move on to the latest on Britney Spears, a local murder, or something our readers haven't heard before. by

Suprised! I will be very suprised if anything comes out of this due to Conyers/Pelosi running the show. Those 2 as well as many others should be up for impeachment as well. by

CSPN2 Having watched this show I get the feeling that nothing will be done once again! It looked very staged. The clowns that opposed impeachment were quite lame in their sad attempts to support "the administration". Most of the interviewees had very good statements in support of impeachment with the 2-3 obvious plants that "couldn't see any need for it". Conyers is quite sad with his having to be prompted as to what to say or do. I "loved" watching the "Republican" watchdog on Conyers left. You could almost see his hand up Conyers back working the strings. What has been a very sad 110th Congress just got really bad. We definitely need to replace almost all of the incumbents. If we replaced them with heads of cabbage we would still be better off. by
