marcus condemning anyone to be shot????
Is this for real?? My family decided several years ago that this company is not worthy of our support. Luckily, there is a Lowe's across the street. We of course would not support Home Depot at any rate. This attitude really sucks, and could be the cause for some nutcase to take him up on it. by Pat Herrick (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 169 comments) on Friday, Nov 21, 2008 at 11:16:41 AM

Disturbing if true...
but how do we know it is? It's one blogger's assertion and he doesn't even say how he came to this information. by Mikhail Lyubansky (15 articles, 11 quicklinks, 3 diaries, 184 comments [7 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Friday, Nov 21, 2008 at 2:38:23 PM

Home Depot Quote from WSJ article
I quick glanced around the article found a link to the Wall Street Journal article where the Home Depot CEO says exactly that non-GOP supporting retailers should be shot. Reply: wsj - the folks who bring you trickle-down prosperity?
One of the stories I read, 40 years ago when I was more interested in psychedelic drugs, described how the active ingredient of the magic mushrooms they use in Siberia passes unaltered through the kidneys. So the poor folks waited, (maybe still do in the more backward regions of those remote and little-known climes) waited outside the dwellings of their betters on festive evenings, for a bowl of piss. to drink. Who runs the Wall Street Journal? Who owns it (rhetorical - I believe Rupert Murdoch owns "contolling interest") - who writes for it? - who do they write for? My guess is, the collective they are more likely under a TARP than in a yurt, but nonetheless physically comfortable for all their current angst. by Idaho Boy (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 9 comments) on Friday, Nov 21, 2008 at 4:30:51 PM

Brilliant, too bad you weren't able to shout out this statement years ago during a Reagan speech. by Gary Denson (2 articles, 0 quicklinks, 1 diaries, 283 comments) on Friday, Nov 21, 2008 at 8:34:15 PM

Retailers Who Follow GOP Policies Are Going Bankrupt
The fifty-five percent of white folks who voted for McCain backed Republican policies of joblessness, homelessness, violence and despair for people of color.. If these white folks back their convictions with dollars, they will flock to the Home Depot stores in record numbers. McCain's rants about illegal immigrants and non-white minorities disgusted the 43% of white people who voted against him. These buyers won't visit Home Depot until after Christmas when the going out of business sales begin. by Jason Paz (68 articles, 88 quicklinks, 112 diaries, 1392 comments [98 recommended, 1 rejected]) on Saturday, Nov 22, 2008 at 4:41:03 AM

home depot long-time support of fascism
when I read, in 2000, that Home Depot supported Bush, I stopped shopping there. The stores are crappy and the prices aren't as good as Lowes--plus, you should direct at least some of your shopping to local hardware stores and lumberyards (please?). Dell is the same--David Dell, the founder and CEO is in Bush's back pocket and has been since he was governor of Texas. No Dells in my house. There are plenty of quality competitors. You can vote with your cash just like you vote with your ballot. Seek to discover who the retailers support and shop accordingly. I would never buy an Amway product. Does anyone know of a list of such facts? I'd like to see it. by gabby hayes (13 articles, 0 quicklinks, 1 diaries, 19 comments) on Saturday, Nov 22, 2008 at 6:36:56 AM

Home Depot
Well he is entitled to his ignorant opinion and I am entitled to shop at Lowe's. This is the stupidest remark I have seen during this entire mess the GOP got us in to. Total blindfold and closed brain. I won't even bother to explain as I doubt this stupid big mouth would even understand. I can't believe he would be dumb enough to make a statement in support of the GOP after all that has happened and not expect it to effect his business by sandy valencour (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 38 comments [11 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Saturday, Nov 22, 2008 at 1:10:43 PM
