"The repressed always returns!" to paraphrase Wilhelm Reich, and few countries have been as repressed as Egypt has under the stifling despotism of Hosni Mubarak, our man in Cairo, whose decadent institutions of impoverishment, imprisonment and torture are beginning to crumble under our eyes. We are seeing a volcanic eruption, by millions of disenfranchised Egyptians of anger, angst, outrage and decades-long indignation against this man, the figurehead of a paid-for by America Middle Eastern banana republic, one of many such "republics" spanning the globe:
