As another sure sign the apocalypse is upon us, a hypocritical hate monger was rewarded this week with 400 million dollars to continue spewing his venom across the air waves of America. The erosion of American culture continues as Rush Limbaugh was given a new contract which will see him reportedly earn 38 million dollars per year to lie with impunity and make a mockery of common decency.

This is not even a matter of politics; it is a matter of the continuing degradation of society today. The hypocrisy should be well known and not lost on folks in this country. Rush Limbaugh often railed against the drug use running rampant in this country. One such quote from the blowhard was:

 "Too many whites are getting away with drug use...Too many whites are getting away with drug sales...The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them, and send them up the river, too."  

Of course it was Limbaugh himself who was guilty of prescription fraud in his own battle against drug abuse. He was addicted to the painkiller OxyContin and was guilty of doctor shopping to try and continue his addiction and usage, which he so heartily decried for years. This is not to criticize Limbaugh for having a battle with addiction. The problem of course is the reeking hypocrisy with which he carries on.

Not content with just hypocrisy, Limbaugh is simply a hate monger. Hate against women? Here are the words of the 400 million dollar man himself:

 "Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society." "She comes to me when she wants to be fed. And after I feed her -- guess what -- she's off to wherever she wants to be in the house, until the next time she gets hungry. She's smart enough to know she can't feed herself. She's actually a very smart cat. She gets loved. She gets adoration. She gets petted. She gets fed. And she doesn't have to do anything for it, which is why I say this cat's taught me more about women, than anything my whole life." --on his cat 

But Rush is an equal opportunity hater:

 "The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies."

"They oughtta change Black History Month to Black Progress Month and start measuring it."

"Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it." 

Not content with racial and sexist hate, Limbaugh has also strayed into mocking the disabled recently when Michael J. Fox, who suffers from Parkinson’s Disease offended him with his personal political opinions:

 "He is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. ... This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting." --on an ad by Michael J. Fox endorsing Claire McCaskill for Senate for supporting embryonic stem cell research 

Of course, Fox was certainly not faking. He just was suffering badly and was expressing his personal opinion about stem cell research. However, he committed the cardinal sin as far as Rush Limbaugh is concerned, he disagreed with his politics. Because he had the temerity to disagree, his disability was mocked across America.

Limbaugh’s hate has no true boundaries. It cannot because its goal is simply to rile up a voting block in this country. To push a partisan agenda, that cares not about the truth but just about staying in power. When commenting on our soldiers who are dying in Iraq, but advocate withdrawal, Limbaugh pontificated that they were “the phony soldiers.” In pursuit of his agenda of propping up the Republican Party, Limbaugh has flat out lied to deceive his listeners. He has supported the debunked Iraq-al Qaeda links, stated that Hamas supports Obama, and he lied so much to defend President Bush on his deplorable Katrina debacle that it deserved its own page on the Web to debunk all of the falsehoods:
