Florida Democrat Kendrick Meek In Deep Trouble!

Democrat Kendrick Meek In Deep Trouble!

Florida's Sentate race is heating up to boiling over!

In the running for the Florida Senate seat is Kendrick Meek a democrat, and Florida Governor Charlie Crist who is now running as an independent, and Marco Rubio is running as the Republican candidate for the Florida Senate seat.

Yesterday the polls show that Kendrick Meek has only 21% of the vote and dropping fast, while Governor Charlie Crist now has 28% of the vote, and Marco Rubio has a very comfortable 45% of the vote and growing.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in Florida shows Marco Rubio picking up 50% of the vote, while Crist, Florida's current Governor, receives 30% support. Meek has only 16% support, his worst showing since early July.

The battle is taking place for the democrat votes!

Former President Bill Clinton came to Florida to help support Kendrick Meek while at the same time he was rumored to have asked Meek to drop out of the race because he does not stand one prayer of a chance in hell of winning the Florida Senate seat.

Kendrick Meek went public yesterday to try and dispell the rumor that Clinton had been the one to ask him to leave the Senate race. Kendrick Meek has now gone on the record with not one, but two stories, and quite frankly Florida voters do not know who or what to believe!

Meek said on the news that:

1)Charlie Crist is the one who called him at 4:57am this past Monday morning and woke him up requesting that Meek drop out of the Florida Senate race. Meek also said that when a phone call comes in at that time of the morning that it is usually a family member in trouble or something bad. He also said that Crist offered to give him a small gold cross from his sister if he would drop out of the race so Meek's now 16% of the vote will hopefully swing towards Crist and help him to win the Senate seat. (Add Meek's 16% to Crist's 30% and this could put Crist over the top, but it still does not add up to Rubio's now 50% lead.)

2)Meek said on the news yesterday that Crist had waited for Meek to come down from a staged campaign event and asked Meek just off the stage to drop out of the Senate race.

The question that is begging to be answered is simply this- Is Meek lying or telling the truth? And what are his motivations for throwing Crist under the bus while protecting Clinton?

Is Kendrick Meek intentionally trying to saboutage Crist's campaign to hopefully swing Crist's voters his way? If so, then apparently it is not working- yet.

Florida voters are now wondering about Charlie Crist. Is he that desperate?

Many Republican Florida voters who actual like Crist are now questioning him and his motivations and wonder if Crist is deal making with democrats to choose him as the lesser of two evils.

Charlie Crist is now putting out television advertising attacking his Republican base voters as extremists and he is guiding his campaign in Florida towards the middle of the road and basically Crist has cut his own throat in more ways than one.

If the democrats do nothing, then a Republican will win easily. If the democrats can get their act together in Florida and come up with a solution quick they may be able to save the senate seat, but at this point it does not look good for Florida democrats. The split in the party will assure a Republican win.
