Sarah Palin--Far less administrative experience than Barack Obama
At the Republican convention this evening it was stated by every speaker and person being interviewed that Sarah Palin has far more administrative than does Barack Obama. This is patently false.

Sarah Palin was mayor of a town with fewer than 8,000 people and governor of Alaska, population less than 700,000. She has fought members of her own party and gotten rid of many corrupt government workers. She managed to work with three oil companies, attempting to get them to put in a gas pipeline, which was turned down by the Alaska legislature, so she had to go out for competitive bids, which the oil companies refused to bid on.

Barack Obama has, for the past 19 months, according to the Republicans, been running a nationwide campaign during which he has received contributions from more than 2,000,000 people, has organized tens of thousands of campaign workers, and successfully garnered the nomination for president of the Democratic Party.

You don't get administrative experience by being governor of a state with the 4th smallest population in the country. If you can't get it by having been president, running a successful campaign makes a good second best.

You're comparing a Pres nominee to a VP nominee???

Besides the fact that Obama can't compare to McCain, which you obviously prove here, Obama cant compare to Palin either. Here's a list of her accomplishent:
Palin served two terms as a member of the Wasila City Council in Alaska.
Served two terms as Mayor of Wasila.
Became the eleventh governor of Alaska.
She reduced taxes and increasing services.
Ever since she was elected governor of Alaska, Alaska invested five billion dollars in state savings, made changes in education funding, and created the Senior Benefits Programs with the purpose of helping low income Alaskans who are senior citizens.
Palin is also the chairperson of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission (which is a government agency that promotes oil and natural gas drilling and the conservation of natural resources).
Palin is also chairperson of the National Resources Committee of the National Governor's Association.
Palin is also the creator of the Petroleum Systems Integrity Office (another government department which supervises the maintenance of oil and natural gas equipment).

What has Obama done?
According to your comments here, he "has organized tens of thousands of campaign workers," after you stated what accomplishments Palin has made. We do know he also a senator, the least you could've done was give him credit for that.
Maybe Obama should have stepped down to let Hillary run for Pres and he could've been her campaign manager.

Comparison

I made this limited comparison because the people at the convention were making that comparison.

I don't know if McCain has any administrative experience at all. HE certaiinly isn't running his campaign, but maybe he ran the last one, when he lost.

Palin seems to have been busier than I thought, or that I had read about earlier. I understand that she raised taxes (sales) when she was mayor of her little town, so she could build a sports center, that seems to large for the size of the town she lived in.

Since you know so much about her, perhaps you can answer a few more questions:

I haven't heard much about her husband; does he work for BP or is he a commercial fisherman? If he works for BP, how long has he been there and what position does he hold? Will he show up tonight?

What is Sarah Palin's policy about sex education, in the schools or elsewhere?

That will do as a start.

Palin vs Obama

When it comes to a comparison of these 2--Obama & Palin--Cindy McCain, with a perfectly straight face, sat on the RNC stage yesterday and said Palin has more foreign policy experience than Obama because Alaska is 53 miles from Russia.  Wow!  If that's the best the Republicans can do, McCain doesn't have a chance.

But you're definitely right about Obama as a U.S. Senator, no small trick.  He was also a member of the Illinois legislature, taught law @ the U of Chicago.  I'd suggest that Obama's living in Indonesia as a teen has provided him with light years more foreign policy experience than Palin's 53 miles from Russia.

And according to some sources, Palin not only may have raised municipal taxes to build a sports arena, at the same time, she cut the city's public library budget.  Sports are great but chopping a library budget says volumes about the importance of education, doesn't it?

I think if I were Palin, I'd have refused McCain's invitation on the grounds that it's clear he chose her simply to pacify/attract the evangelical voters who are not happy with him.  What an insult.  If he was really smart, he'd withdraw his candidacy and offer Cindy for president instead.

Typical laziness

Typical democrat, wanting somebody else to do all of the work for them.

What the VPs husband has to do with how this country is run but here is his information:

He took a leave but went back to work because the Palin family isn't independently wealthy and has to work for a living and have to worry about putting their children through college. Nobody, however, feels there is any conflict of interest with Sarah Palin's husband working a non-management, non-decision making position, including Anchorage's own democratic Rep. Les Gara, who is one of the leading supporters of the governor's Alaska Gasline Inducement Act, doesn't see a conflict with Mr. Palin's job.

"The big problem is when people start voting the way the people giving them money tell them to vote, right? That's why the FBI is in town. I don't see this as that problem," said Gara, D-Anchorage.

As far as OBama's teenage trips around the world gives him credit for having international experience then I guess its too bad Sarah Palin's parents didn't split up, with one of them moving back too their home country to get away from the other. You morons make it sound like he chose to go to Kenya because he wanted to see how they live so he can use the knowledge for the future when he runs for Pres and not to visit his dad who left his family.

Unfortunately, the losers that you are who want to focus on a 17 year old childs problem and want to drag her through the mud. You are pathetic if you think that you and your family is perfect. People make mistakes especially 17 year old people. I highly doubt that Sarah Palin tells her children that it is okay to go out and have unprotected, pre-marital sex. If you think that's the case then I'm done wasting my time educating you because you are too blind to reality. Which is the case for most dems anyway.

By the way here's a list of things McCain has done. Should be more than enough to accomplishments to run a country.
Legislation

Agriculture

Budget, taxes, and the economy

Crime, justice, and judiciary

Defense

Energy and environment

Foreign affairs

Healthcare

Homeland security

Indian affairs

Pork barrel spending

Technology

I'm ready to call it quits with you also.

I never said anything about Obama traveling overseas when he was a teenager, I didn't bring in Sarah's 17 year old daughter, her husband's job seems to be unimportant, but since both of her sons have joined the military, when do they plan to go to college?

I'm sure Sarah did not tell her daughter to go out and have unprotected sex. From what I've learned about Sarah since I posted my first statement, she probably preached total abstinance.

Experience

What is a community organizer?  And how does being a community organizer qualify you to be Commander in Chief of one of the largest countries in the world?  Senator Obama never has never told us what a community organizer does has he?  Is he ashamed of it?   We know what a mayor and a governor does - leads and makes decisions - no one knows what a community organizer actually does.

Senator Obama has never mentioned the successes he has had as a community organizer.  We know about his one piece of legislation.  We know about his making his campaign a main part of his skimpy resume (what a joke - he is saying I am qualified to be president because I ran for president.  If so, so are a bunch of other clowns who ran.).  What other important experiences and accomplishments can he claim?  His wife wasn't president for 8 years like Hillary's husband was.

If the Democrats want to try to muddy the experience waters by viciously demeaning a vice president candidate's 17 year old daughter after their candidate has warned everyone not to talk about his strong adult wife, they are asking for sure defeat.  The American people will see that kind of attack for what it is.
