For OpEdNews: Al Krass - Writer

Those of us who do not believe that any political party now present on the American scene is the greatest thing since sliced bread may legitimately rejoice/gloat/exult for a few minutes over the irrelevance of the Republican Party for at least the next two years, but let us not in any way rest on our oars.

The Democrats may have an easier time of it as a result of Arlen's choosing to play on their team; Obama may get even his entire program through Congress; but alas! the kingdom of God will not come as a result.

Will this keep us from substituting one war for another? will this lessen the power the finance sector of the economy holds over the nation? will this turn the tables on corporate agriculture and re-establish family farming? will this restore the primacy over foreign policy from the Dept. of Defense to the Dept. of State?  will we see a single payer health  program  anytime soon?

   Dream on!
