Those who found solace in the Democrat victory in the 2008 election may now (5 pm, June 16) be interested to know that their partisan choice has prevailed in the House to further fund America's permanent war against humanity.
.
It can be said that the Republicans who voted against the bill did not do so in opposition to the war, but in protest of the administration's failure to include unconscionable prohibition of the torture pictures, various other financial matters, and other Republican partisan shtick, in other words for all the wrong reasons.
.
Had the bill been confined solely to war funding, the Repubs would have leapt to support it as would 80-plus percent of the entire House.
.
Where does this leave the cause for peace and decency? Exactly where it was under Bush Inc.
.
Be it known my friends of strong support of either partisanship, I am disgusted with both of your lots. I can only hope that you will live so long as to learn ultimately of today's disgrace in a future history book. Decent folks know all ready.
