What Part of "Supreme Court Life-Time Term For Far Right Judges Who Will Take Back A Woman's Right To Choose" Do You Not Understand?

So your candidate lost.

The one who would fight for the rights of women and minorities. The one who would never allow Roe vs Wade to be overturned. The one who would fight for the just due for our veterans who were forgotten by the President and the Republican legislators the second their service was done. The one who the talk radio Lords of Loud lambasted for years, and did so with small basis and smaller principle, except to bury her until they realized that infighting within the Democratic Party would make for great fodder and possible continuation of the corruption of rights, economy and honor that's been shamefully perpetuated against the people of this country for the past eight years.

And now, because your candidate lost, instead of supporting a candidate who would fight for the rights of women and minorities; who would never allow Roe vs Wade to be overturned; the one who would fight for the just due for our veterans who were forgotten by this President and the Republican legislators the second their service was done; the one who the talk radio Lords of Loud lambasted ever since they thought he had a chance of winning the nomination, and did so with small basis and smaller principle, except to bury him until they realized that infighting within the Democratic Party would make for great fodder and continuation of the corruption of rights, economy and honor that's been shamefully perpetuated against the people of this country for the past eight years;

If I had my way, I would tear this old building down.

Judging

Judging from the right-wing judges the Senate Dems have ushered onto the court, this seems like a very silly point for the Democrats to try to make.

If you ignore the misleading rhetoric, and instead just watch the actions they take, there seems to be no opposition at all from the Democrats to right-wing judges.  And since Sen. Obama vocally opposed efforts to filibuster and block these right-wing judges, there seems to be little reason to believe that he wouldn't appoint more of the same if President.

The key to understanding the Democrats is to separate their rhetoric from their actions.  Ignore the rhetoric and watch their actions, and so many of these myths the Democrats try to spread instead just disappear into smoke.

I'm sure the denizens of PUMA understand every word.

Indeed, they endorse every word as they are Republicans at their core.

PUMA

Greetings,

I am NOT republican, and I am NOT voting for Obama.  In fact, I have witnessed and participated in the previous 10 presidential elections, and while I have not always embraced the nominee, I would end up voting for him because I felt the process was at least fair.  This year, I have seen the principles that I thought guided the democratic party ignored.  I saw a member of the DNC say over the airwaves of this country that the democratic party didn't need white, blue-collar, and hispanic voters; the dems had a NEW constituancy.  I saw a man who attended a church that seemed to preach hatred embraced as a "progressive" by the party elders, and then watched that person encourage attacks on his opponent using race.   Would we be expected to embrace a white man who had attended KKK meetings for 20 years, taking his young daughters along, and telling us the klaxon was his "spiritual" advisor?  I think not!   Would we, who are "older" progressives, be expected to embrace a "progressive" who has stated that he liked Reagan, who helped defeat the FISA bill, who has supported Bush's judicial choices, and who just happens to be "present" more often than stating "yea" or "nay" on a bill?  I think NOT!

As far as I am concerned, neither McCain nor Obama is fit to lead this nation.  Don't try to blame those who aren't going along with the "selected" program this year- turn your anger where it belongs-the DNC.

Mr. Solomon

Mr. Solomon, I am glad to hear from someone that has voted in nearly as many elections as I have.  This should be my 17th election, but as of now, I have no one to vote for.  The DNC should be impeached for what they have done to the Democratic Party.  I am looking forward to having a brand new DNC by the beginning of the next term.  If all Democrats will vote against Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Dean, maybe we could get some real citizens to take their places.  They, themselves, are the ones that have divided the party and should be made to pay for that.  We really have no choice this election.  Guess we will have to hope for a better one in 2012, but who knows what kind of shape the USA will be in in 4 more years?

I am an American woman from the baby boomer generation who is in the majority but has been treated as a minority my entire life.
carol harperI am an American woman from the baby boomer generation who is in the majority but has been treated as a minority my entire life.

The only real reason

The only real reasonYou bring up the only and very important reason why Obama will have to be crammed down the throats of women baby boomers.

It is as if the young new voters got together and decided they would take cuts in line for the power representation in government. Our leaders should represent the majority of the population. It is an old adage, wisdom comes with age.

"Change" is a very broad term that has been used without the youth vote really understanding what is at stake. There MUST be a least two opposing factions to make a democracy work as unpleasant as it sometimes is, our freedom of speech depends on it. Obama wants to unite the parties? He wants to go to war in Afghanistan? Pull out cold turkey in Iraq? Health care for all Americans has been mid-campaign afterthought for Obama. Is he really in touch?

Where is the education of our youth and media journalists who do not understand the most fundamental elements of democracy? It is too late to have Hillary who brought a much better guarantee of financial security for America. Just as things would have been much better if Al Gore had been the President.

It is sad to me the largest demographic in our nation’s history-white, women baby boomers (who as a group have been the most responsible in their procreative habits without government intervention) will never be represented in the highest position in national government.

Why is easily answered

Steve,

If you want to know why many Clinton's supporters are having trouble getting on board the Obama bandwagon, go up to "Allen L. Roland's" article and read the comments. These comments are not isloated but have been incessant attacks on Senator Cllinton since she entered the Primary race. Read some of Roland"s articles and Rob Kall's featured attacks on her, and then write an article calling them to task because the attacks go on and on.

I will vote for Obama because I never vote for the person. I vote for the Party. If a person has Democrat principles, that person will belong to the Democrat Party. I have never seen a web site that is so full of Clinton hatred and so full of Libertarianism as in Ron Paul.

Only By His Grace,

Phil.

And Steve

Read the comments to your article by these incessant losers who are such dreamers that it is my way or the highway. They remind me of the old "America: Love It or Leave It" crowd. These are not Democrats and never were Democrats.

I have only voted in  twelve national elections since 1960 or is it thirteen? My first vote was for JFK in 1960.

To have voted in seventeen Presidential elections makes a very old person(4 times seventeen equals 68 years plus this election would be 72 years plus 21 when he voted would be 93). The above commenter does not sound like he is 93 yeas old.

We hate men!

And I suppose you don’t think men should have a choice?

Oh wait that choice was made when they had sex.

Women need a few more months to make the choice.
