Politically, George W Bush is a dead man walking with over 60% of American voters personally not liking him. With John McCain hitching his wagon to Bush's coattails ~ the possibility of a massive Democratic sweep in both the House and Senate appear likely in November thus ensuring Bush's political death and disgraceful legacy: Allen L Roland A new WSJ/NBC poll finds that, increasingly, voters don't like President Bush personally. "By 60% to 30%, they have negative views of him, his worst showing ever." By a majority of 54 percent to 42 percent, "voters say they'd prefer a president 'who will bring greater changes' over one who is ‘more experienced and tested.'" Providing we have a national election in November and are not under Martial Law ~ the Democrats are on the verge of a massive landslide victory which many Republicans are beginning to nervously sense.

The country overwhelmingly wants change and Barack Obama is the only true agent of change when compared with the supposedly more experienced and tested John McCain.
The first National debates between Obama and McCain will set the stage for this massive victory and a Obama / Sebelius dream ticket would all but ensure it.
McCain was selected to protect Bush's so-called legacy which is heading toward a major disaster in Iraq ~ where we are not wanted if not hated.
ABC News polled Iraqis in September of 2007 and found that 79% oppose the occupation, including 80% of Shiites, and 95% of Sunnis.
Another poll conducted in February, 2008, shows that 77% of Iraqis remain opposed to the U.S. occupation, including 77% of Shiites and 95% percent of Sunnis.
As I have said many times, George W Bush will do anything to avoid failure including handing over an illegal and failed war / occupation as well as a devastated economy to the Democrats ~ if they let him.
The Democrats could ensure this mandate for change and a landslide in November if they instituted Impeachment hearings against Bush now ~ which a growing majority of Americans want. For example, an ongoing MSNBC "Live Vote" online poll shows that 89 percent of Americans support Bush's impeachment. The poll has drawn over 686,000 responses thus far.
Need I remind my readers ~ Impeachment is not a political question. Impeachment is a constitutional duty which Congress resists at the Republic's peril.
Former Attorney General Ramsey Clark states the same thing ~ " Impeachment, a Constitutional duty, is the only way to prevent George W. Bush and his cabal from vastly enlarging the disastrous wars he has already inflicted on the world and the American people. The House of Representatives must quickly consider Bills of Impeachment long overdue, and the Senate must prepare to sit in judgment of President Bush, Vice President Cheney other officers who are implicated."
As such, American voters want action by the timid Democrats and if that action is taken ~ George W Bush and his disgraceful legacy will soon find its rightful place in the trash heap of American history.
Perhaps this joke summarizes Bush's shameful economic legacy ~
Looking for Work
A Japanese doctor said, 'Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks.'
A German doctor said, 'That's nothing, we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks.'
A British doctor said, 'In my country, medicine is so advanced that we can take half of a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks.'
A Texas doctor, not to be outdone said, 'You guys are way behind. We took a man with no brains out of Texas, put him in the White House and now half the country is looking for work.

Bush
Allen, do you know what I am really worried about? Unless, the Dems completely blow it, a distinct possibility, they are going to capture the White House, Congress, and most gubernatorial races in Nov. My concern, the 77 days this idiot is going to be President after the elections. What will Bush/Cheney do? Just fold things up and start packing? You know, I just don't see that. by Sandy Shanks (27 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 60 comments) on Tuesday, Jun 17, 2008 at 4:21:09 PM

My concern, the 77 days this idiot is going to be President after the elections. What will Bush/Cheney do? Just fold things up and start packing? You know, I just don't see that. I don't see that either and consider the next few months the most dangerous time for both the United states and the world in regards to a small neocon cabal who see themselves as both patriots and the ultimate deciders ~ ignoring the elections and the constitution. Reply: The 77 days issue
has been on my mind also. What better time for the administration to attack Iran? With a lame duck administration, a lame duck Congress (in more ways than one) and an essentially rudderless ship of state, what is to keep them from driving the final stake into the ME with a flat out Shock and Awe run into Iran? Incoming Congress not sworn in, outgoing won't deal with anything anyway and will only pass the buck, so what is to prevent it? The administration will have all that time to really screw things up again and we will not have any way to prevent or offset it. And of course, this always assumes they don't invoke the continuity of government rules they created and nullify he election. We live in interesting times indeed. by Jack Harrington (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 676 comments [70 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Tuesday, Jun 17, 2008 at 4:59:35 PM

COMMENT
And of course, this always assumes they don't invoke the continuity of government rules they created and nullify the election. And therein lies the greatest danger to the Republic ~ for Congress has given the Cheney/Bush the right to declare a National Emergency ( at their discretion ) and that could even include , in their minds, the threat of impeachment or criminal proceedings ~ which could result in Martial Law and/or nullifying the election. These are dangerous times and dangerous men who are convinced they are patriots as well as the ultimate deciders.
