Congress Worse Than Bush & Company

It is not surprising that when Dennis Kuccinich introduced the privileged motion in the House of Representatives, laying out the grounds for the Impeachment of President Bush, it was met with a cool reception by the Executive branch of our government. It is not surprising that it was met with a cool reception by the Republicans in the House.

After all, these are the criminals and the co-conspirators. They are the ones who have committed the crimes. They are the responsible parties. Of course they do not want an investigation or to hand over incriminating evidence. That is why the constitution provides remedies and allows for criminals committing high crimes to be prosecuted. That is why Congress has the power to hold Impeachment hearings, to subpeona evidence and to remove a President if necessary.

This Criminal President has been stonewalling Congress at every turn, failing to allow testimony, failing to produce documents all the while expanding our Republic into a dictatorship with hardly a peep from Congress. But then, what would you expect from a criminal?

It is also not surprising that the consolidated corporate Main Stream Media that manufactures consent and flushes important information down the rabbit hole, uncritically parroting propaganda from the President himself, has failed to immediately begin a national discussion. To flush out the information in the Articles, to discuss with the American People the merits of the articles.

No, just like the Iraq war, by not talking about it, by not showing images, by failing to have broad issue oriented discussions, they have again made important news virtually disappear. (Turn them off).

Anyone that has taken the time to read the Articles of Impeachment knows that there is a lot of meat to them. It is not a bullet point summary. It is not a mild accusation. It is a very detailed, well thought out and well cited document. Crimes were committed, and full evidentiary hearings with credible witnesses will bring the behind the scenes details to the American people. No doubt, justice will then be served.

But instead, crimes worse than those of Bush & Company are being committed by Conyers, Pelosi and every democratic member of Congress barring Dennis Kuccinich and the two co-sponsors.

Every democratic member of Congress is complicit. They are all guilty, but none worse than Pelosi and Conyers.

The Democrats' complete failure to react, their failure to immediately discuss and support the Impeachment Resolution is worse than that of Bush and Company. They started the war through lies. Congress has continually funded the war and taken the remedy for the crimes committed, "off the table".

Well, it's time to put it back on the table. If not now, When?

No more money, no more votes for any member of Congress that cannot say the words "Immediate Impeachment".

Nancy Pelosi, after receiving a mandate from the people to get us out of Iraq and begin Impeachment – started her term as Speaker of the House by saying that Impeachment is off the table, effectively wiping out the demands of every American screaming for Congress to do their constitutionally mandated job.

Impeachment is not an inconvenience. It is not untimely. It is not a political pawn in an election year. It is THE issue of our time.

Our nation went to war under false pretenses. There was NO 9/11 connection to Iraq. They did not pose an imminent threat to the safety of the United States. We committed crimes. We broke International Law.

We had time and we rushed to War, a perpetual war on “Terror” that can be conveniently moved anywhere in the world with no defined enemy. And we let the accused mastermind of 9/11 go free.

We gave up many of our civil liberties under the so called “Patriot Act” and we allowed unprecedented spying on the American people. We have become the champions of torture and selective rendition. We have lost the respect of nations and our countrymen.

Pick one to drive from office: Conyers or Cheney, Bush?

If Conyers
or any other Democratic Congressman
does not support hearings on impeachment
they have violated their Oath Of Office
and promise to the voters
To Protect Our Constitution..

Every Voter who is a patriot
should Not Vote For Conyers in November
or any Democratic Congressman
who refuses to Protect Our Constitution.

If they took the Oath They Must Impeach.
If they refuse, they are a Traitor To Our Constitution.

If they Refuse You should protest against them
using as the theme of your signs that

"Since Conyers refuses to honor his Oath
and hold impeachment hearings
is he a Traitor to Our Constitution?

Do that against all Democratic Congressmen until Nov 4
and you will get hearings.
They don't like the word Traitor!

Johnson escalated the Vietnam War & Nixon trampled on the Constitution.

Only Nixon was driven from office by Impeachment Hearings.

Conyers and Pelosi are traitors

They should be driven from office, not one more dime, not one more vote, until Impeachment hearings begin - not to any politician.

If We, the People, cave on this, we deserve what we get in November.

The telcom bill is being touted by Democrats as a bi-partisan "compromise".  Pay attention to the fine print, they compromised on the people.  There is a back door expressway for the tel-com industry to basically be granted immunity.

And we don't have to look any further than the democrats for their tricky deal they claim to be a compromise.

People 0 - Corporations - WIN AGAIN!

No what kind of government do we have again?  Oh yeah, the best democracy money can buy...

We will either survive until the sun envelopes the Earth in millions of years or we will prematurely expire having carelessly and needlessly forfeited the future of the unborn for the mere accumulation of things man-made. An unemotional, instinctive creature would never have done this.

Lost all respect for Conyers

As Chairman of the Judiciary committee Conyers has been nothing more than a lapdop for Pelosi. I have lost every ounce of respect I had for a man that had for decades championed the cause of justice. Now he has been reduced to a political yesman making excuses for why we should not impeach Bush and Cheney for shredding the Constitution. There are no valid reasons to not impeach Bush, Cheney, Rice and others. All members of Congress that oppose impeachment should be removed. There is no interpretation of the Constitution by which Bush and Co. should not be impeached. Most of Congress are lawyers and they know this fact. They are just cowards or hoping to benefit from the lawlessness being perpetrated on the world by this rogue regime. Americans have set around for years waiting for someone else to do the dirty work to expose, indict, try and convict these criminals but no one has the power also has the will. The only alternative to a refusal to enforce the law is for everyone to start breaking the law and forcefully remove these criminals from office. Of course that won't happen either because Americans are scared of the government and the military. So here we sit waiting on something to happen? Perhaps another false flag terror attack against American citizens? We do not deserve the freedoms we have lost and are losing. Things do not just take care of themselves. The cause of justice requires 24/7 vigilance. There is no off-season.

I agree

How much more are Americans willing to lose?  There have been several times in the last 8 years that I've thought, this is it...  NOW we will see protests on street corners and signs in every yard and on every care... but still... nothing.  Everyone just goes on with there business as if nothing extraordinary is happening.

It's only the end of the Democratic Experiment... but just wait, change is coming...  all we have to do is ... wait.
