Was born 70 years ago

On a baseball diamond

At Crozier Park

In Chester, Pa".

I'd know it anywhere-

It visited me

Many times

In Centerfield-

Whispered

Peaceful secrets
From a benign

Universe-

Where sun

And serenity

Drifted with

Cirrus "

It hasn't aged

A day-

I can tell

You that-

Still as fresh

And clean

In this distant

Place

As the next line drive

Over second base-
