We bailed out the banks,
They foreclosed on the poor
Our houses aren't worth
As much as before.
The country is at war,
It always seems to be;
It always costs a fortune
In the land of the free.
They send thousands of soldiers
They attack who they please;
We suffer unemployment--
They shipped our jobs overseas
We have an election,
It costs millions to run
It's all corporate money
Democracy is done.
