June 1 is the kick off for the National Women's Justice Movement.   This is an important movement as 16,800 women a year or more than 42 a day are dying according to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

You think you are a real man?   Real men don't hit women.   They don't take their money and leave them stranded.   They don't' threaten them or harm their children.   They stand up and protect women.   That's our role.   That's what gets us respect.

Domestic violence is not about people dropping needles on the floor or engaging in ploys.   It is about women fighting to stay alive and keep their children alive.   Listen to this recording.   The girl who recorded this video has impressed leaders with her integrity.   Among those who have spoken highly of her are Dennis Kucinich, Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee and others.   One state senator listed her as one of the ten kids who changed the world.   This girl deserves your respect too.   She could have died when she saved her mother's life.   If her father had found her recorder he would have killed her. Have you saved the life of a woman lately?   If not you could learn from this girl.   Did you listen to the recording?   If not you are not willing to learn what domestic violence is.

Stand tall and protect women. Some men, if you want to call them that, think the women's movement ended the age chivalry. Being a real man is about being there for the ladies.   When they are beaten it is our job to stand firm and fight FOR THEM.   Real men don't whine. They protect . Remember that. Millions of women need our protection and support. This is our cause.   This is what makes us men.
