birthofmovement by Jim Prues

For centuries the vast majority of humanity has suffered under the thumb of elitism, the system where powerful political and commercial interests collude to take advantage of the rest of us. They start wars, they create globalism, they call us 'consumers.' The classic name for this is 'plutocracy.' It's a clear sign of the failure of government to do its job.

But it doesn't have to be this way. We are citizens, we know the old system is broken, and now we have a brand new term that acts as the sword of truth, cutting through all the bullshit of the old system.

This Friday at High Noon on the Equinox [EDT] on Fountain Square in Cincinnati is the official birth of World 5.0 and inauguration of the World5 Movement. This one hour event features me, Jim Prues, presenting World 5.0. It also features three musical acts, a spoken word artist, and comments from thought leaders. The event will be telecast live from World5.org.

Because World 5.0 is such a powerful symbol it has five key areas of focus.

1] Understanding Life
We come to an understanding of Life primarily through The Three Truths. They are:

First: "Life is this Moment. It consists of the co-mingling of Eternal Awareness and this constant flux of Energy." Discerning the totality of this moment, then, is critical to beginning to reach an understanding of Life, and hence our place in it.

Second: "Here what matters most is our intent: fear or Love."
Caught as we are in a highly disfunctional culture, we often fail to realize that we still have the power of our intent. It cannot be taken from us. We also often fail to realize the simple decision we face in every waking moment. Will each thought, each feeling hold Love? Or will we have thoughts and feelings that leave us in turmoil? A simple choice indeed.

Third: "Only Love makes us happy."
We may find temporary 'thrills' in fear, or anger or domination or some other iteration of fearfulness, but there is no Love to be found in such thoughts, feelings or ideals.

2] Seeing Culture as an Operating System [o/s].
We've had four previous operating system in human history. For the longest time [100,000 years] we were Neolithic hunter/gatherers. We used few words, but well understood our place in Life. Then we developed agriculture, starting with hemp. This initiated the Agrarian Age, and suddenly, we needed a lot more words to create these basic agricultural systems. We also developed the new technology of implements for our chores. World3 is Medieval, where city-staes developed and we learned to make machines like the printing press and guns. The Industrial Age, the dysfunctional and corrupt culture that is crumbling even now, was initiated with the development of the engine, localizing power. World 5.0 is the emerging age, where we reverse the male-dominated model of the last few ages, and allow the feminine qualities of community, cooperation and peacefulness emerge.

3] Personal Healing
For each of us as individuals, there's no more important goal than our own healing. We are all wounded to some degree just by the process of being born and living in a body. We are wounded more deeply still by the violence and abuse that so permeates the World4 culture. And yet we have the power of our intent to effect our physical and phychological health.

The only real freedom is freedom from fear. This is the lesson we must keep reminding ourselves of, stalking our bad ideas and bad feelings so that we can let them go. Letting go is the core of the process of personal healing, as it is the only methodology for releasing fear. And of course, only Love makes us happy.

4] Planetary Transformation
For us as co-inhabitants of this dear Earth, there's nothing more crucial than restoring communities and non-human communities. This list of issues we face is daunting: climate change, hunger, disease, water, deforestation, pollution, oceans, ghettos, illiteracy, and on and on.
Learning to live more lightly, to spend our money with local businesses and restaurants and spending our efforts to support community are all part of the process. And yet we see that the biggest lever for reparation and restoration is government.

5] Growing the Movement
World 5.0 is a grand and startling idea whose time has come. We inaugurate this enterprise for people and communities everywhere via our rally at high noon Eastern on Friday, September 23rd, The Equinox.

This movement has unprecedented potential. The old world4 is broken, dysfunctional and corrupt. With World5, we bring the ideal of health and abundance instead of profit and greed, to our global culture. We can do this only by reconstructing government to serve we, the people. And we can only reconstruct government to be fair by people-pressure, by growing a movement.

At the very least this event, this birth, sets a marker. World 5.0 is officially part of our cultural landscape. We can leverage it by partnering with it to create a world of peace, health and happiness. Hard to beat.
