BUSH TO ADDRESS COUNTRY

For OpEdNews: Constance Lavender - Writer President George W. Bush will address the nation tonight at 9:01 PM ET from the State Room of the White House. Bush, in the waning days of his administration, and with economic discontent swirling around him, will address the financial crisis that has consumed Wall Street, led to a loss of confidence in world markets, and caused a populist reaction on Main Street. Bush hopes to stress the importance of the Treasury Department's proposed bailout package and explain to citizens how the financial crisis affects them.
It is not known if the President will accept questions from the White House press corps.
