BUSH TO ADDRESS COUNTRY

by Constance Lavender     Page 1 of 1 page(s)

Tell A Friend

President George W. Bush will address the nation tonight at 9:01 PM ET from the State Room of the White House.

Bush, in the waning days of his administration, and with economic discontent swirling around him, will address the financial crisis that has consumed Wall Street, led to a loss of confidence in world markets, and caused a populist reaction on Main Street.

Bush hopes to stress the importance of the Treasury Department's proposed bailout package and explain to citizens how the financial crisis affects them.

It is not known if the President will accept questions from the White House press corps.

Let me guess

The speech will be composed of:

Lies, fear mongering, mangling of the English language, smirking, arrogance, all delivered with a touch of whine.

I'll take an anti-nausea pill with a stiff drink please.

How many television sets will be broken across the nation as the enraged populace throws the remote control at their screens?

Thanks for the warning, I'll make sure the TV is turned off a minute before.

I love this line

"It's not known if he will accept questions". I think we can say with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY, he will not accept any questions. Why? Because he has trouble reading the teleprompter of his scripted speech. Do you think his handlers want him making the usual FOOL of himself now. NO.

Also, this is a theft of MONUMENTAL proportions. He would only be lying anyway.

Bush is Moron and doesn't have a clue

The Secretary of the Treasury doesn't even know how the rescue will work or at least can't describe it.  He also doesn't know how much it will cost.  His speech is going to mess up my TV viewing.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Congress should set this bailout aside and work on the budget including revoking the Bush tax cuts since the folks that messed this up it are the ones that have benefited from collapse and the war in Iraq.

He never lied,  your party promises change...  they do every four years  and nothing happens  ...... let's blame Congress for a change...  there's more crooks there ...... Why is your party so full of hate?   and you want the undeceidedto vote for Obama?

Reply: Go Bush to He**

It may be news to you but a raise in taxes is exactly what the country needs. Not for the lower middle class or the poor but for those who have been getting a relatively free ride for the last twenty years such as the untold number of millionaires and yes, billionaires. You know Bush has begged, borrowed and stolen money from wherever he could get his hands on it for the "war" effort. But sooner or later it has to be paid back and that time is coming. No one has to bash Bush he is quite able himself to accomplish that every day with his stupid actions. I won't bash him, I'll let you tell everyone all the many great things Bush has accomplished in the last four years. You can start with being asleep at the switch on 911.
