On February 12th, about two dozen of us boarded a charted bus for Florida, leaving from the Lynnhaven Dive Center in Virginia Beach for central Florida and such locales as The Devil's Den, Crystal River and Ginnie Springs for both warmer weather and some good diving for four days.

But we were a bit surprised, to say the least, when we pulled into a state roadside rest stop in South Carolina, not too far from historical Frampton Plantation House, and found it blanketed with heavy snow. It was quite a beautiful sight, so I took some photos, even while in the back of my mind I was thinking, what the Hell is going on with the weather!

Anyway, check these out, especially the ones of the palm trees loaded with snow. If that isn't an incongruous image, what is?
