"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone."
-Roger 'Verbal' Kint
Getting a person or group of persons to act out something that is contrary to their very own best-interests' is like manipulating a politician into telling you the truth. It's not an easy trick to perform, but it can be done, provided the Prestige is enacted perfectly, and with out flaw.
The Republican Party has a way of performing this trick on its political constituents. They are constantly getting those who are (generally) in need of social services to vote against their own well-being. Those who call themselves "conservatives" or "Republicans," by another (false) representation, are some of those in need of those very same governmental services. Those on Social Security will rail against "social programs" because their Masters on Capitol Hill told them it is bad to rely on the government for their daily lives. These poor, delusional saps be lieve this stuff, too!
The Tea Party is chock full of just those type folks, too! Worse yet, most of these people receive Social Security! Most of these folks also rely on Medical for their prescriptions that keep them alive! So how is it the Republican Party is able to pull off this trick you ask?
That single word. It conjures up so many things in me, I don't know where to begin!
How about we start with "logic." Then we work ourselves to "reason." We now take both of those things and we apply them to whatever liar (politician, by another name) is trying to get us to do whatever their Corporate Masters demand of them, and then apply it. This is why some of us do not vote Republican, because we use logic and reasoning to decide things for ourselves. When I write "we," I am not necessarily discussing Democrats, either. For me, there's only one party... and none of us are invited. I believe both parties, both Democrats and Republicans, are the problem. And have thought as such since I was old enough to apply reason and logic to most things.
"A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything."
If the Democrats are not part of this conspiracy against the American People, they most certainly are guilty of being inept enough to not be able stop the Republicans from raping, pillaging, and hoarding all our nations' most vital life's blood, and that's the youth (who are being sent over to a foreign land to die for rich, white man's property) and natural resources, like our nation's natural waterways, (underground) aquifers, and oceans.
Seems that making a mess and picking up that mess makes more cash than the actual oil itself, *eh*, Halliburton?
It's so readily apparent that some (Too many, really) poor folks, in the United States of America, are systematically brainwashed into believing their Big Brother (now a Drunken, Abusive Uncle), Republican Governors and Senators have their best-interests at heart. Just as long as they clutch on to their "faith."
"Faith is believing in something that you know isn't so."
-Mark Twain (a.k.a. Samuel Clemens)
