In 2010, every state will hold elections for Congress. These elections will affect every American, and that's why *we need your help today to safeguard the vote in Tennessee*.  Just last year, Tennessee enacted a law to require voter-verified paper ballots and mandatory manual audits by 2010. But now the legislature is poised to consider new bills that will delay the state's progress to well after 2010. Their leaders need to hear that this law is too important to all of us, and that a delay will not reflect well on their state.

Please take a moment to visit the Verified Voting Action Center and send a message to Orange State lawmakers urging them to follow through on the promise* *of paper ballots and hand-counted audits in 2010:

Today, *Tuesday March 24, *committees in the House and Senate will hold hearings on bills to weaken the Tennessee Voter Confidence Act*.  *Urge them* keep the Voter Confidence Act intact. *Your message will go to members of the House and Senate committees considering legislation, and to Governor Bredesen.* *

Please take 60 seconds out of your busy day to contact your lawmakers -- it's free and it's easy, and it will make a big difference.

*Take action today!* Visit the VerifiedVoting.org Action Center at
