During these times with the RNC-related police free speech Thug-a-thons going on, it is good for us to know what our rights are, and what they aren't. It's also good to have advice, from a top-respected legal source, as regards self-conduct in relationship to the police, to assure a better (and a legal) outcome.

Here is the ACLU's advice as regards police break-ins to our homes, search warrants, our own consent to be searched or not to be and how it holds up in court, what to do if detained and what not to do, when we must answer questions and when we have the legal option not to answer any police questions, etc....

Here is the link. I hope this helps some people in the St Paul area, and those whose homes were broken into under the "emergency" playcard such as during the floods in New Orleans, etc.

Please pass this on to someone else who is not breaking the law, and who has been abused by police or has fears thereof, or who it could otherwise legitimately help. Thank you!

This quote summarizes the nature of my concerns and the content of personal experiences which stir my activism: "Necessity is the plea for every infringement on human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves". --Paul (more...)
