"We can see that events shape our perceptions; rarely do we acknowledge that our perceptions shape events."
"Violence begins within. Each of us is violent. Violence is the result of insensitivity to the emotional well being of another; it is motivated by a failure to process one's own emotional pain."
"There is Love. All else is propaganda."
Sound like the precepts of some ancient Wise Ones whom we revere but do not really follow? In our ability to create, relate, and celebrate lies our way forward. In our willingness to reveal and share our vulnerability lies our power. Patricia Morrison, another of our Envision This guests, sang "Singing in the Streets" of the many who sang in the face of oppression, perhaps went down to it, yet eventually prevailed. Let us sing and dance our way into a better world along with Morrison and Makana. Let us look to the abundance Heaven and Earth offer us, rather than to the waste offered us as "goods" by the corporations. Let us depend upon all those, both human and other-than-human that are living and real; not upon products that are manufactured and fake. Let us truly realize that "We are the many, not the few."
