G. How can U.S. intellectuals profess solidarity with street demonstrations that appear, or made to appear to be a national uprising in disregard facts that awaken suspicions that things are not what they seem to be. Take the following together:

Iran minister says CIA funding 'rioters', 06.24.09, 14:34 / Israel News
Iran's interior minister on Wednesday accused US spy agency the CIA of helping to fund "rioters", stepping up accusations of Western involvement in street unrest following the country's disputed election.

"Britain, America and the Zionist regime (Israel) were behind the recent unrest in Tehran," Interior Minister Sadeq Mahsouli was quoted as saying by the semiofficial Fars News Agency. "Many of the rioters were in contact with America, CIA and the MKO and are being fed by their financial resources," he said. The MKO (Mujahideen Khalq Organization) is an exiled Iranian opposition group. (Reuters)"

U.S. Has Spies On the Ground in Iran: Former National Security Advisor, AlterNet, By Jeremy Scahill, Rebel Reports, June 25, 2009

"As violence continues on the streets of Tehran, RebelReports has learned that former U.S. National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft has confirmed that the U.S. government has spies on the ground in Iran. Scowcroft made the assertion in an interview to be broadcast on the Al Jazeera program "Fault Lines." When asked by journalist Josh Rushing if the U.S. has "intelligence operatives on the ground in Iran," Scowcroft replied, "Of course we do."

While it is hardly surprising that the U.S. has its operatives in Iran, it is unusual to see a figure in a position to know state this on the record. New Yorker journalist Seymour Hersh and Former Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter both have claimed for years that the U.S. has regularly engaged in covert operations inside of Iran aimed at destabilizing the government. In July 2008, Hersh reported, "the scale and the scope of the operations in Iran, which involve the Central Intelligence Agency and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), have now been significantly expanded."

H. Why do at least non-capitalists and anti-empire journalists not keep the political climate in focus: One week before the election, Obama in speech in Cairo firmly admitted U.S. involvement in overthrowing a democratic Iranian government, gave a Cold War excuse, did not express regret, spoke in a severe lecturing tone of voice that belies media heralding Obama "offering his hand', "Since the Islamic Revolution, Iran has played a role in acts of hostage-taking and violence against US troops and civilians." -
was certainly trying for some sort of quid pro quo approach.

(Shortly after Obama's inauguration on January 20, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had demanded apologies for "crimes" he said the United States had committed against Iran, starting with the 1953 coup.)

A day ahead of Obama's speech, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had said, "Nations in the region hate the United States from the bottom of their hearts because they have seen violence, military intervention and discrimination (from that country)."

Bomb Iran is "still on the table." Iran keeps all its Non-Proliferation Treaty agreements, while the media and Obama accusations to the contrary count for increasing the threat of U.S. ally Israel bombing, constantly discussed in media.

"President Bush was right," said Obama, "that Iran's ballistic missile program poses a significant threat [to Europe and the US].
Iranians are aware that U.S. military is on its borders occupying its neighbors on both sides and now at war in a third neighbor Pakistan. Iran is surrounded by a dozen countries that host US military bases. Peace activists have been warning of the U.S. efforts to becoming another Iraq or Afghanistan or Pakistan, in the end to be ruled by oil companies, ruled by an American puppet.

How to fit this with the spectacle of the demonstrators looking to America for support against their government and America hailing those demonstating as representative of the whole Iranian people.

No evidence of vote fraud was ever presented, but lots of evidence of fake news reported in America's imperialist friendly and protective conglomerate owned international reaching entertainment/news and information industry. The same unrelenting omissions, selected news, dis and mis information not at all different than that read, seen and heard during the crises media created during the more than six decades of the cold war, and eight years of the war on terror.

Within months after his reelection Ahmadinejad was touring Latin America and Africa immediately following his speaking at and economics conference of Islamic nations where he said, "The capitalist system has come to an end and radical change is a necessity," blaming high interest rates "usury' as its 'biggest and most fundamental problem.' "We have to draw up programs based on Islamic economic thinkers. That way we can guide people to happiness, security, justice and honesty. This is the most correct way to salvation - capitalist excesses have caused the global economic crisis."

One could imagine that a president who goes out of his way to put forward an image of a man of the people would be less appreciated by the rising middle class and sophisticated business elite. They were treated as a privileged sector of the population under previous Presidents Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Mohammad Khatami.

For the high percentage of the young in the cosmopolitan crowds demonstrating, one could easily get the impression of dissatisfaction and frustration from within a modern, up and coming, cosmopolitan class. But what is not clear is why the reelection of nationwide popular, anti-capitalist president would cause so many to associate improvement in an opposition whose leaders have been running the theocratic government for the 24 year previous to the 4 years of life under Ahmadinejad.
