So, the pretender thief claims victory is just around the corner;

Things are improving daily;

As more limbs and eyes are lost,

More body bags come back;

More Iraqis lose their lives;

In the inevitable aftermath,

Of the dogs of war unleashed!

And we are told,

With a straight face,

Things are improving;

Wait and see.

Try telling that to the sightless and future limbless;

To the relatives and friends of those

Who will never see or hear their loved ones again.

And the pretender thief smiles and laughs,
