Curtain Time for Barack Obama - Part II

"I think what is true," he said, "is that, it depends on the period of time."

"I've known him for 17 years," Obama stated. "There were stretches of time where I would see him once or twice a year."

He told the Times, "when he was involved in finance committee for the U.S. Senate race, or the state senate races, or the U.S. Congressional race, then he was an active member."

"During the U.S. Senate race, there's be stretches of like a couple of weeks - for example prior to him organizing the fundraiser that he did for us - where I would probably be talking to him once a day to make sure that was going well," he said.

"But the typical relationship was one that was fond," he added. "We would see each other."

"But there would be no reason for me to be seeing him that often," he stated.

This issue may be sorted out soon enough because Fitzgerald’s charts matching up Obama’s contributions, visits and calls are bound to be every bit as thorough as the ones produced to prove Rezko is guilty as charged in the first trial. They simply were not produced because they were not needed to prove the defendant guilty in the first case.

As an example of what records might be squirreled away, consider that an FBI agent presented a chart to the jury on April 28, 2008, showing 257 calls from Rezko’s phones to Blagojevich’s chief of staff, Lon Monk, between March 2004 and May 2004 alone.

He also had a list of all calls between Levine and Rezko from November 2002 to May 2004. Rezko’s attorney brought out a point that backs the assertion that just because records on Obama were not shown, does not mean they do not exist.

The attorney questioned the agent about missing calls, and specifically those to and from Christopher Kelly. The agent first said records were not available, but later admitted the government probably does have records on Kelly that were not available to him.

In addition, the contributions extorted through the Planning Board scheme were for the intended presidential candidate, Blagojevich. Obama’s US senate war chest was already funded and by the time these kickbacks were paid that campaign would be over.

But Obama did end up with $20,000 from the very first kickback paid in the pension fund scheme set up through the Board of the Teacher's Retirement System.

Elie Maloof and Joseph Aramanda, the straw donors used to funnel the contributions to Obama, also made $1,000 contributions of their own for his failed run for Congress in 2000, on the same day March 17, 2000.

In addition, Aramanda gave $500 to Obama's senate campaign on June 30, 2003. In the summer of 2005, Aramanda's teenage son landed a coveted intern position in Obama's senate office in Washington.

Obama also received contributions directly from the persons appointed to the pension board for the express purpose of rigging the votes. On June 30, 2003, appointee, Jack Carriglio contributed $1,000.

The other appointee, Anthony Abboud, donated $500 to Obama on June 30, 2003, $250 on March 5, 2004, and $1,000 on June 25, 2004.

It's Time

For the superdelegates to pull the trigger and end this race. Clinton and her surrogates like Ms. Pringle will not stop until they can claim that Obama is damaged goods even though it was them doing the damage.

I am an American. And I am terribly worried that Bush will attack Iran in an "October Surprise" so that McCain can become president.

Iran has a population of over 70 MILLION people, two thirds of whom are under thirty. After the very first missile is sent, an army of over ONE MILLION very nationalistic IRANIANS will rise up against our small army and likely destroy it. And, or course, very tragic things will happen here in the US.

What a CROCK! Does the Clintonista author know anything?

I cannot believe OpEd News would publish this tripe from an obvious Hillary Surrogate - who happens to be utilizing a strategy directly from the Karl Rove playbook.

The Rezko case has been in trial for almost 11 weeks now. The Prosecution completed presenting its case almost a month ago. The Defense finished presenting its case. The Prosecution and the Defense have completed their closing arguments and the jury will likely begin deliberating tomorrow.

While the Illinois Governor is probably in serious trouble due to the revelations that came out during the prosecution of the case, nothing - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - damaging has come out about Obama.  (Clinton surrogates have been in the courtroom almost every day, hoping to find something meaty to leak to the press about Obama.  But it never happened.)

The Rovian purpose for planting this bogus article in Op Ed News is so that other future Hillary surrogates can "quote a source" in other published works; and then other, future surrogates will then quote the quoters and "repeat the propaganda" (to quote Bush 43) until the Hillary surrogates have created a "fact" out of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Op Ed News has been used as a tool for Bush-like propaganda against the future president of the United States!

Shame!

The article is on target and looks pretty accurate

I and others have researched this subject and I'm glad someone did an article about it.   I don't know Evelyn Pringle but she has done a favor for the Democratic Party in writing this.

It frightens me that Obama supporters are lying about Obama's electability in an attempt to wipe out the Democratic Party's chances in November.  I'm NOT a Clinton supporter.  I'm a Kucinich supporter.  Nobody can accuse me of backing Clinton.  I will concede that she could win the general election while Obama cannot because of this kind of corruption scandal.

BTW, I’m a fan of Reverend Wright's and I would not hesitate to vote for Wright for President.  The Rezko scandal is another issue and a major problem for Obama.

It's a crock, all right

The thing is, if there were anything of real substance, it would be all over the place.  Look at what the press did with a crazy reverend and a lapel pin.  "Investigative reporter," now that's hilarious.  I know that OpEd is hurting for money, and I have made donations, but is it in such bad shape that a phony investigative reporter has to be used to conjure up some kind of legitimacy to this silliness?  Don't Clinton supporters have anything that is factual to discredit Obama.  If they did, I would be interested.  But, they don't.  So, this kind of crap has to be constructed and promulgated to tarnish the man.  Fine, if you want to appeal to the dumb rednecks.  I mean, like, you can't win without the stupid vote.

Silliness? Obama doing things the Chicago Way.

Are you from Cook County, IL.?  If you are, you would realize that the issue of corruption in Cook County government is not silly.  One of the things that is certain is that Obama chose not to make "changes" when he supported The Combine and The Machine candidates.  All he had to do was speak out against them, and he would have given himself credibility regarding  "change".  As it is, all he is doing is talking about "change".

You seem to be supplying the stupid vote

Do you really think that Pringle would go to this level of monumental trouble that would be necessary to undermine Obama, if there were no substance to her claims?  Things may not be as bad as she says they are, but they're certainly just as likely to be worse than she says they are.   If Obama is embroiled in half the crap mentioned in this ongoing series, he's toast.  The idea that media will make a big stink of anything that comes to their attention, "if there's anything to it," is ludicrous.  It just happens that media, as represented by its owners and shakers, are determined to get Obama nominated; so what better to hassle him than non-issues like pins and buttons, which virtually no one will take seriously.  Op Ed has done just the opposite of what you're implyinig.  It astonishes me, that they struggled with the idea of releasing this story, after their usual behavior of encouraging any trash no matter how nitwitted and plain stupid, as long as it thrases Hillary.

Curtains for the Clintons and their shameful Racism instead.

Shame on the Clintons for their stragegy of racism and for those like Pringle for encouraging it. Shame on this site for airing such trash, no wonder people won't contribute.

Give it a rest!

A quick check of her bio shows the author of this article has spent years writing articles about Government and Corporate corruption. The article is full of facts that have been glossed over by the MSM, who are undoubtedly only awaiting Obama's confirmation as the Democratic nominee to release all the same information. Some of you commentors claim to not be for one candidate or another, but devoted to having a Democratic President in 2009. Well then isn't it better to have this information come to light now before it becomes the Republicans October surprize! The article was well written, and does not only attack Obama as you try to say, it encompases a well known cabal of corruption in Chicago that permeates out all the way to Washington D.C. and even Iraq. 2 thumbs up Ms Pringle!

I'm a college educated, white woman, resident of New York City, 56 years old, a lifelong Democrat. My political views have always embraced elements of the liberal and the conservative. Curtain time for Barack Obama - Part II

I applaud Evelyn on her willingness to really dig into this story, which is being bypassed by the mainstream media.  I hope people will link her story to other blogs and spread the word and encourage others to also go exploring and fill in the gaps in the background of the leading candidate for the Democratic nomination.  After reading Evelyn's work, I have been looking for other stories.  For another article you might want to read, go to FrontPageMag and search for "Obama's World, Part II" by Jacob Laskin. I tried to place a link here but the link would have taken you to an "error page."  Peace.

Thank you for exposing the truth before the nomination

If the Democrats are dumb enough to nominate Obama, the Democratic leadership may deserve what happens, but the rest of us don't.

I'm going to see if I can get some Cynthia McKinney for President signs in the hopes of stopping McCain if Obama is nominated. In the event of an Obama nomination, McKinney is our last hope.

The worst part about this whole thing is that the Obama supporters don't want to know the truth and they don't want anyone else to know the truth either.

Obama brought down

The stunning paranoia, revealed by the fawning, bended knee, Obama cult, at the prospect that their Messiah HAS A FAULT!!!  Heavans!  Oh my God!  Oh Lord!!  You mean to say Obama's not perfect?  Obama is human, he's.....gasp......a little like maybe.....Hilllary????  No God Save Us.  You bet he's like Hillary.  Except he's much. much, much worse than Hillary.  He has all the same faults (and a few more), but he pretends he doesn't.  That's a special kind of hypocrisy, that puts him way lower down than Hillary will ever get.

It's amusing to see you lunatics squirming and foaming at the mouth about how Rove and Hillary are behind all this.  It's all a lie, it's Hillary, Hillary, Hillary that's doing this to our Savior.  This is what happens, when a publication or a news source refuses to include all sides of a story, refuses to allow the Hillary people to chime in, and lend us their perspective.  You end up with mental midgets.  An army of kool-aid sucking imbeciles.  Obama, Obama, Obama, my ass.  Obama is a smooth talking hustler, and a fake.
