I purchased a DVD of a short television news story (Channel 3, Madison) covering the DATCP meeting produced by Linda Eggert (leggert). I have asked for a QuickTime file (they sent me a UNIX file) that I can put on YouTube but the company that makes the DVDs is waiting to hear if the station manager will give permission for the file to be uploaded to the Internet.

Readers need to know that Obama's nomination of Tom Vilsack to head the USDA is directly related to NAIS.  Vilsack is a close friend of Monsanto, is pushing biotech strongly, as well as laws that remove the democratic right of any community to refuse GMOs (and more), and strongly backs NAIS, a Monsanto-influenced plan.

The Organic Consumers Association is leading the opposition to Vilsack's appointment.  Go here to vote against Vilsack's appointment.

Send donations to the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund (an offshoot of Weston A Price) to help them defend real farming and fend off the USDA and various states' push to impose a mandatory NAIS
