The President has authorized himself to declare
a public emergency and impose martial law.
The Insurrection Act change lets him send our own troops
to put down what HE deems is public disorder -
pro-choice rallies, anti-war protests,
environmental activists' demonstrations,
gatherings advocating immigrants' rights,
labor unions marching against globalization.
Any group of citizens unwilling to tolerate
policies detrimental to the general welfare
and demanding restoration of their constitutional rights
will find themselves in the Bush Administration's crosshairs.
The Real I.D. Act goes into effect in 2008
to meet federal identification standards benchmarks
and makes it mandatory for citizens and legal residents
to carry a standardized national identity card.
In order to conduct essential business,
you will be asked, in effect, "Vere ah your peppahs?"
When you vote, open a bank account or board a plane,
remember, this device for control is keeping us "safer".
It may eventually require an RFID chip -
radio frequency identification technology -
embedded in the national identity card
to track your movements, transactions and activities.
Bush authorized a blueprint for military dictatorship
by signing NSPD-51 and HSPD-20,
entrusting himself to run the entire federal government
in whatever he decides is a "catastrophic emergency".
In the event of an "incident" anywhere in the world
that causes mass casualties, property damage or disruption
that affects the US population, its environment, the economy,
its infrastructure or on-going government functions,
cooperative efforts to "provide for orderly succession'
will be coordinated by the Office of the President.
The "appropriate transition of leadership" is HIS decision
with just a nod to and a wink at the rest of our government.
The Authorization for Military Force
pushed through Congress only a week after 9/11,
is responsible for Bush's seizing dictatorial powers
by using this act in order to claim his justification
to ignore that goddamn constitutional piece of paper
and pass all the preceding legislation.
He didn't even have to worry about getting away with it,
since pundits praise him openly as he parades it.
Citizens may seek to change their country's policy direction
and these acts were put in place to combat that opposition
by allowing pre-emptive crackdowns on potential threats
to the implementation of American totalitarianism.
These vicious acts of dictatorial suppression
need just a 9/11-like trigger to make them operational.
And just in case our soldiers and the National Guard
might decide not to turn on the American population,
they've been conveniently shipped out and pinned down
halfway across the world in Mesopotamia,
so our patriotic servicemen and women
won't be able to do a thing to rescue America.
When Cheney-Bush imposes martial law
they'll be able to count on Pentagon brass,
because they supply the jobs and pay the salaries,
so the brass will obediently rise to the odious task
and take command of the new S.S. private army
of sinister assassins employed as Blackwater mercenaries
who stood guard over opulent mansions in New Orleans
while American citizens were left to rot like so much garabge.
