The economic squeeze is the only message Mr. Chavez will understand, particularly now with the economy at its most fragile and vulnerable state since his taking office. After a decade in power, his ability to blame current economic problems on preceding Venezuelan leaders is all but exhausted. The poverty situation/level noted and referenced in the Analyst’s prior referenced articles, has deteriorated since assuming office.
Oil and commerce are his supporting crutch, his lifeblood; the enablers to his grip on power. Removing those enablers, given the growing weakness in the Venezuelan economy, gets his attention. It hastens either a desired, dramatic turnaround change for the better in Mr. Chavez’ conduct and approach to all global relationships or the day a responsible and sensible Venezuelan leadership team will legitimately emerge. His decision. Too, it expedites closing “Commulist China’s” strategic doorway to coveted South America hemispheric geo-political positioning and access to its vast wealth and natural resources.
If that message is not sent however, the current behavior will perpetuate and he'll continue putting in a bad performance night after night. In fact, “economic withdrawal” as “he” purposely challenges the U.S. and WEAST to do, is the only way to get his attention to clean up his act, or if he won’t, give Mr. Chavez the hook to get him off the (world) stage, and ending his artificial, self determined global relevance. The global audience, with no need for "applause card" prompting, would give a rousing, standing ovation to the theater for doing so, as his on-stage performance is not only unprofessional, grating and tiring, but if possible moving in the wrong direction, i.e. getting worse.
Bottom line, time to cancel the show and bring the curtain down on this sham revival of "Dare Me".
On that note, a final curtain call thank you to the cast of Dare Me, for providing an “unexpectedly expected”, welcomed mental break from the more cerebral and challenging “Commulism Series”.
Oh and by the way, a) on the drive home from the theater, be sure to fill up at Exxon, and b) for those who prefer Analysts who are inherently humor challenged, well…....there are many good ones out there waiting to be heard and found….at poolside, in their speedo.
