If any one says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Paul affirms that love for others is a complete fulfillment of God's Law for us.
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Galatians 5:14 (RSV)
And how do we demonstrate our love for others? How do we put this love into action? By always treating others as we would like to be treated. This is the Golden Rule, taken from Matthew 7:12.
TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.
"So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets."
SO WE SEE THAT THE ESSENTIAL TEACHING OF JESUS IS, "LOVE ALL PEOPLE AS YOURSELF." AND THE WAY WE DO THIS IS TO TREAT OTHERS AS WE WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.
