Michael Franti and Spearhead Do MLK
Speaking of supporters of the Lower Ninth Ward period, to give you an idea of some of the people who have been showing up at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary Charter School besides President Bush to help both the school and the Lower Ninth Ward, in early May, 2008, the world-renowned singer, poet, composer and activist Michael Franti and his musically eclectic band Spearhead gave a concert there as a fundraiser for Common ground Collective.
