The goal of Shift, with whom Chris works, is to engage people into higher orders of cooperation and complexity. Chris and his wife, Karen, so through the Coaching Cafe. This process gets people to question their core beliefs and helps them discover their truth, or purpose in this life. Now, many rationalists would say there is no purpose in life. However, if you attend to the way Nature works, everything functions in relationship to everything else and serves the entire planet. Indeed, I would state that our purpose on this Earth is to support all life.
To illustrate, the relationship of carnivore to vegetarian is that of predator and prey. We see these two as enemies. Yet, seen from the vantage point of an ecosystem, that relationship helps to control the population of the plant eaters and thus maintains a healthy balance between the two. Similarly, for the meat eaters, microorganisms that produce disease that brings the great hunters down serve the same purpose. Thus, in a well functioning ecosystem, the meat eaters and plant eaters balance as reciprocal par ticipants in a symbiotic unit . Our bodies are meant to be fed as well as to be food. Do not fall for the human arrogance that says you are top of the food chain. One encounter with a blood sucking flying insect will tell you otherwise. Indeed, that insect thinks she is top of the food chain until a frog gets hold of her. The "chain" when seen in clearer perspective is actually a Moebius Loop. Life consumes and is consumed in a self-actualizing loop.
Everything exists for the sake of everything else. As Christ is said to die for the sake of all humankind, we are destined to die for the sake of everything else. Meditate on this for a moment: We all function for the sake of everything else. Your life, my life, is for everything else. As much as Christ is said by Christians to live for the sake of the world, then so do you and I. Its the same with our death. Our realization is not contained in a belief in an ancient man. It is in realizing who we are in our essence.
In line with this idea, the Shift Movement believes that as we change ourselves, the world changes. The question becomes, are we ready to challenge ourselves in moving forward? Or, do we continue blaming government and corporations for our problems? Can we challenge our belief systems and behaviors to be the change we want and need in the world as Gandhi advised?
We cannot continue surrendering our power outward. Eve does not need to be subservient to Adam, be he in the form of a physical man or in the form of a corporation/government that oversees the "Labor Classes." Labor is a feminine function. It is now time that we who labor say "no more" to the Man and his Patriarchal God that curses our creativity. The curse of our labor being in pain and our being subservient to the Man needs to end. As reflected in Genesis 1:27 of the Bible, we are all created in the image of God "Male and Female created (S)He them."
We Psyches / Labor Classes must begin to say "no more" to our labor pains! Where does that begin? It begins nowhere else but within you and me. Our birthing can be an orgasmic delight. When you and I make this change in joy, the universe will change. From the depths of our Soul, we birth the universe. We are all co-creators. At this point of revelation, Eve, the Soul of this world, will awaken to the power She truly is. This is not just about women, it is about our Psyches or Souls. No longer shall the Labor classes or women remain in service to an abusive Adam. Freedom will be known to arise from within us. Give birth to it, be it and the world will follow suit. May this article be the seminal input to this birth in you and the world. Let's make this Holiday season really express the peace on Earth that we have been promised. Don't expect any help from Caesar. He's a lost cause. At best he's a tasty salad dressing. But for real change, only we can make it happen.
