What do some scientists say about creation? Some say the same thing as above. For example, it may be of help to understand physicist Bohm's notion of the holomovement (quoted from http://etype5.pagesperso-orange.fr/NewFiles/bohm.html#implicate)

The holomovement is, admittedly, a rather subtle concept to grasp; indeed, it is generally invisible to us. Bohm proposes that the holomovement consists of two fundamental aspects: the explicate order and the implicate order. He illustrates the concept of the implicate order by analogy to a remarkable physical phenomenon. Consider a cylindrical jar with a smaller concentric cylinder (of the same height) inside it that has a crank attached, so that the inner cylinder can be rotated while the outer cylinder remains stationary. Now fill the annular volume between the two cylinders with a highly viscous fluid, such as glycerine, so that there is negligible diffusion. If a droplet of ink is placed in the fluid, and the inner cylinder is turned slowly, the ink drop will be stretched out into a fine, thread-like form that becomes increasingly thinner and fainter until it finally disappears altogether. At this point it is tempting to conclude that the ink drop has been thoroughly mixed into the glycerine, so that its order has been rendered chaotic and random. However, if the inner cylinder is now rotated slowly in the opposite direction, the thin ink form will reappear, retrace its steps, and eventually reconstruct itself into its orinal form of the drop again. Such devices have been constructed, and the effect is quite dramatic.

The lesson in this analogy is that a hidden order may be present in what appears to be simply chance or randomness.

Thus, many refer to the beginning states above as chaos. In our minds, chaos is simply chance or randomness. However, as chaos theory states in mirroring Bohm, chaos Herself is not random. What She is is Infinite Potential. In Her are all probabilities of change.

Can you see why our rulers don't want us to realize this?

In ancient Babylonian culture, it is said of the Goddess Tiamant who was also identified with chaos (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiamat):

In Babylonian mythology Tiamat is a chaos monster, a primordial Goddess of the Ocean, mating with Abzu (the god of fresh water) to produce younger gods. It is suggested that there are two parts to the Tiamat myth, the first in which Tiamat is 'creatrix', through a sacred marriage between salt and fresh water, peacefully creating the cosmos through successive generations. In the second Tiamat is considered the monstrous embodiment of primordial chaos. Although there are no early precedents for it, some sources identify her with images of a sea serpent or dragon. In the Enuma Elish, the Babylonian epic of creation, she gives birth to the first generation of deities; she later makes war upon them and is killed by the storm-god Marduk. The heavens and the earth are formed from her divided body.

Interesting that Tiamant is originally seen as a Creatrix who marries salt and fresh water, i.e., she unites the opposites in similar fashion to the Buddhist Prajnaparimita (Wisdom of the Yonder Shore) who holds left and right hands to symbolize the unity of opposites.

The important perspective to grab hold of in this myth is the notion of the divided body of Tiamant. It is in the notion of the world and universe being divided that we began to become a warring species. This mentality is also behind the current divide and conquer mentality so aptly used by the corporate news media to keep humanity in a fallen state that exhibits a lack to see the pattern of the whole....including Tiamant's relationship to other foreign creation myths, such as the Native American Spider Grandmother presented above.

Granted, division happens. The first act of a fertilized egg is to divide into two cells and then into multiple. Yet, the egg remains one person with multiple cells. It's the same with all of Nature. While there are many creatures, plants and life forms, they are one and operate as one planet, as James Lovelock of the Gaia Hypothesis fame states.

We were given a glimpse of the Earth's wholeness when some of the Apollo Astronauts saw the Earth from afar and were deeply touched by the sight. This effect has been called the Overview Effect. Perhaps if we can begin to regather our sense of unity, like some of the astronauts, we can come to peace in this world. What if understanding the unity behind the diversity is our task for the current age. http://www.spacesafetymagazine.com/2013/01/14/exploring-overview-effect/

Can we do this for the sake of future generations?

Do we need to blast off into space in order to see our wholeness? Our ancestors and many of the more modern day mystics realized this wholeness (e.g., the Christian mystics of the 13th and 14th centuries). Perhaps what we need to cultivate is our ability to open our eyes and get past the brain washing inherent behind the modern corporate machine.

Do the powers-that-be want this? Absolutely not. What they want is the continuation of the divide and conquer mentality. It is through this divisive philosophy that they keep us under control. And how easy we succumb to the entertainment of divisive sports, politics and religions. Ever see the smirk on a Fox News anchorman when he argues this vs that? Is the smirk about his sense of one-upmanship or is it his sense of destroying unity, where our real power lies.

All of it, government, corporations, media are about power over, not empowerment.

And what may be the intent behind the several centuries of duality that has been orchestrated by the powers-that-be? Could it simply be to divide and conquer? Next time you watch the News, meditate on this. Right against left. Republican vs Democrat. The Battle of the Sexes. Can you see behind this facade and into the insanity of the right hand smacking the left side of the face and vice versa. Silly image. Yet this is exactly the world we are living in and allowing.
