The sentence that immediately follows is apropos, to say the least:
"Although it is normally a federal offense to remove evidence from a crime scene, the removal of the steel, which was carefully overseen, was facilitated by federal officials."
Why was the steel immediately removed? Dr. Griffin concludes that this is evidence of a deliberate cover-up I would agree. This latter quotation references another footnote. (See page 11, 9/11 and American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out, Griffin, David Ray and Scott, Peter Dale, Eds., Olive Branch Press, Northampton, Mass., 2007.)
Let's not forget that it was an exposure of a cover-up that brought Nixon down.
As mentioned elsewhere in Dr. Griffin's book by Dr. Steven E Jones, there was "molten steel" found at the base of the World Trade Center as many as 21 days after the attack (See page 34 above.)
According to a blogger, 'Both BYU and Prof. Jones have been offered additional grants if he would "change the direction" of his research. In addition, there have been threats made by an individual who "is taking action" to stop Steven Jones' research, specifically his experiment with thermites (aluminothermics), on the grounds his work may be helpful to "terrorists". Jones notes that much more detailed information on both thermite and thermate is readily available on the internet.' http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/showthread.php?t=491981
As detailed in Dr Griffin's book mentioned above, the 47 steel beams at the core of each of the Twin Towers were "sliced" into sections that could be conveniently loaded into trucks and hauled away. The explosive agents that are identified by the authors in the book that are capable of "slicing steel" are RDX, thermite, and thermate. The type of explosions that would have had to have occurred are known as "cutter charges." Such explosions were reported to have been seen coming from the Twin Towers on September 11.
What chemical or physical process could have produced molten steel that would have been found at the base of the World Trade Center as many as 21 days ater the attack? What is certain is that a petrochemical fire caused by the cumbustion of airplane fuel would NOT have caused this. The presence of molten steel raises other questions. Was the steel radioactive?

The World Trade Center was not only struck by airplanes on September 11th, --it was also nuked!
If the presence of molten steel 21 days after the 9/11 attacks is proof of a radioactive explosion, then both the molten steel found at the base of the World Trade Center during clean-up, AND the steel that was shipped off to China, were both likely radioactivley charged. Anyone who came in contact with the already cut steel beams from the cores of each of the Twin Towers would have been exposed to harmful levels of radioactivity. Further, it is also likely that the steel debris that was sold to the Chinese steel refabricator mentioned in the article below was sold without informing the buyer of the steel's radioactive charge.
This presents the sale, export and delivery of the steel debris from the World Trade Center after 9/11 as an act of bioterroriesm against the people of China and the People's Republic of China.

Baosteel Will Recycle World Trade Center Debris
A shipment of scrap steel from New York's collapsed World Trade Center will arrive in Shanghai tomorrow, according to media reports. The steel was bought by Shanghai Baosteel Group Corp. and several other domestic mills, which are always eager to buy scrap metal.
Baosteel Group, the nation's largest steel firm, has purchased 50,000 tons of the scrap steel from "Ground Zero," the ruins of the September 11 terrorist attack, at no more than US$120 each ton, according to yesterday's Beijing Youth Daily.
