The upshot is that we all now know of course that there was no damage in the White House. The General Accounting Office, the non-partisan group of people that run things administratively behind the scenes for a lot of government functions, concluded in their investigation that there was no damage or vandalism.
Ari, however, through innuendo and omission, allowed this vicious rumour to continue and spread. In my book, that is a lie, the first of many.

In the midst of the ongoing carnage that is the Iraq Guerrilla war, and the almost never mentioned and never-ending war in Afghanistan, I often think of what Bush said in a campaign speech in September of 2000.
