These health insurance corporations, with their official policies of delay, deny and deceive, are lying to you and me every - single - day.

Truly, it is murder by spreadsheet.

And We, the Sheeple continue to roll over onto our bellies, put our rear ends in the air, and meekly take it.

Mad as hell?  Then let's not take it any more!

We need a single-payer government sponsored health insurance plan that would be available to any American who either doesn't have health insurance or has it but isn't happy with it.  Those who have private insurance they like could keep it.

The cost should be on a sliding scale, depending on income.  It would be a lot like Medicare, but available for Americans of any age.

Is Medicare perfect?  Nope.  And neither is any other healthcare system ever devised by humans.  But it would be a great start towards getting American's life expectancy and infant mortality rates as healthy as Canada's corresponding rates.

And yes, there should be mandates, just like with auto insurance.

And the next time you hear some ditto-head claiming that any type of single-payer healthcare plan is socialized medicine, just ask him how he feels about socialized law enforcement.  Maybe, just maybe, if dude hasn't drunk too much of the Kool-Aid®, you can get him to spit it out and see the light.

More information on single-payer healthcare plans can be found here and here and here and here [PDF].
