Us are losing

Yes it has always been class war and us the working class are still geting our butts kicked. Nothing has changed and not likely to either. Our class has no leadership, our trade unions are hopelessly feeble and no political party speaks for us. What is to be done? I don't know. I do know nothing is working now.

It sure seems that way...

But a little story.  I was in North Georgia in August visiting my brother in law, a builder.  This is the home base of Zell Miller.  He lives on Lake Lanier.  We met a a number of his friends, builders, small business people.  Guess what - they all agree with most of what I said above.  They're vocal and intelligent; and theypre pissed off.  These are folks that are naturally inclined to be secular Republicans, but no longer.  Their analysis was deep and they're fed up.  That's the "hope" piece here - even in this former stronghold of the guy called Zel, the people are fed up. 

We need to keep pushing, working locally and nationally, and always remember that this country has the most prevasive and detailed media control in centuries.  Look how long they've been fooling us.  But now, thanks to the internet and the extreme greed, consciousness and awareness are changing.  That's the first step, a majority of people are both aware and irate.  Action will start to flow when the major illusions are gone.

Thank you for this article.  In a comment I made on another article a week or two ago, I was trying to get at the manipulative use of "we" or "us" in trying to infer "I" had anything to do with all this ripping off and destructive profiteering on our planet and this country by a few and hurting the many of this country and the world. 

A historian I am not, but -  Back in England when Charles the first was kicked out, two of my relatives (Sr. Flagg/Fleg and Stevenson) were part of that from what I have researched.  Then the families fled to the US as their lands and riches were taken from them by Charles II for having ousted Charles I. When the families got here, they had a much better view of how societies could function without rights of royalty and their minions.  They had been hangers on to "royalty" or the privileged rich/war lords as part of their inner circle reaping those rewards since before the Book of the Dead and their invasion from France to England.  Apparently, they even reaped their rewards in France in that invasion around the year 1000 or so.  Yet when they came to America they had finally learned their lessons.  There was more than just a Quaker/Puritan thought going on when this country was formed.  Benjamin Franklin and the Founding Fathers all had it well in mind to form a country without royalty and their accompanying inner circles.  Human frailties/errors do show in our Constitution but the basics are there. This was meant to be an open society with a free and good life for all not just a few.  It remains a struggle unfortunately.  Lack of knowledge and power to the many has kept the "royalty and their minions" in control for far too long.  Media/education gives the general public knowledge and power and they make up the voting public including the military.  Your article says it so much better, but getting the information out through a free media and having free and fair elections with accountability of those elected is at the core to ending the ancient, destructive greed of those who would consider themselves royalty.  Bush, et al, just seem to me as wannabe royalty and royalty really are just successful war lords having stolen from the public.
