No stoppage in this household

That day will probably be the day I buy new running shoes. That will happen after I put in plenty of overtime at work. Part of me wishes I could have waited to buy my brand new car until then.

General Strike

I for one will honor the general strike and do my best to get everyone I know to do the same.  I realize that my singular action will have little or no impact but I also know that the self-satisfaction I will gain by taking part in the strike is something that Corporate America and Big Oil cannot charge me for or the present administration take from me.

In this “screw you and hurray for me” society it will be extremely difficult to get significant numbers to join the strike but it is a start. Hopefully this civil disobedience will escalate to the point major changes will take place. History shows that non-violent civil disobedience has caused change in other nations so it should work here.

Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man.

Damail's Way

While I'm quite certain that a general strike in America is about as likely to succeed as Congressional efforts to end the war in Iraq, I'd like to see Damail lace up those running shoes and pay a visit to his local recruiter instead of his car dealership. Surely that's a more direct way to show his support for the policies of this administration.

Any Strike Begins with Just one.. Be one who joins in !

Rome wasn't built in one day..but it did not take long to Destroy Rome. Inaction and apathy is this countries' worst enemy ( Next to bush & cheney, that is . ) If we work at it, start right now..we will be able to salvage our country and take it out of the hands of murderers and liers..and worse. Let this 9 / 11 march and the events planned...be a starting point for so many who have, thus far, pretended the Sky Wasn't falling in. And please, Damain, do the right thing...join in and help save this country from what is sure destruction at the hands of the Neo-con fascists who are pulling the reins for 'foreign agents.. So Wake UP.. it appears likely that Your fine job will not be for much longer..nor will you be able to enjoy your new shoes....unless the Population of Patriotic Citizens band together NOW..before ""THE powers that be' let loose on us another 9 / 11. Hurrah Cindy ! Go Girl !! VGF

Keep spreading the word 9/11 sit down

Everyone has to keep spreading the word. Anything you can do on 9/11 to help support a general strike will help. Don't buy anything. Don't go to work or school, if you can get away with it. Mention the strike, paper ballots or 9/11 to every stranger you meet. We can do this year after year, or quarter after quarter, until they throw us in the camps, or the public wakes up enough to take back it's government.
