"there was 'almost a patriotism police' after 9/11 and when the network showed [things critical of the administration's policies] it would get phone calls from advertisers and the administration and "big people in corporations were calling up and saying, 'You're being anti-American here.'"

Indeed, former military analyst and famed Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg said that the government has ordered the media not to cover 9/11, saying:

Ellsberg seemed hardly surprised that today's American mainstream broadcast media has so far failed to take [9/11 whistleblower Sibel] Edmonds up on her offer, despite the blockbuster nature of her allegations [which Ellsberg calls "far more explosive than the Pentagon Papers"].
As Edmonds has also alluded, Ellsberg pointed to the New York Times, who "sat on the NSA spying story for over a year" when they "could have put it out before the 2004 election, which might have changed the outcome."

"There will be phone calls going out to the media saying 'don't even think of touching it, you will be prosecuted for violating national security,'" he told us.

"I am confident that there is conversation inside the Government as to 'How do we deal with Sibel?'" contends Ellsberg. "The first line of defense is to ensure that she doesn't get into the media. I think any outlet that thought of using her materials would go to to the government and they would be told 'don't touch this . . . .'"

Of course, if the stick approach doesn't work, the government can always just pay off reporters to spread disinformation. Indeed, according to famed Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein, the CIA has already bought and paid for many successful journalists.

Indeed, in the final analysis, the main reason today that the media giants will not cover the truth about 9/11 is that we live in a fascist country (see point number 6). Fascism actually means the blending of the government and corporate interests, and the American government and mainstream media have in fact been blended together to an unprecedented degree.

Can We Win the Battle Against Censorship?

The cards are heavily stacked against the media covering the facts disproving the government's version of 9/11 or the many credible people who have questioned that story. We are up against tremendous forces working to censor those facts.

But we have the ability to outsmart the bad guys. We can "be the media" ourselves. We can be the movie-makers, the commentators, the reporters and writers. A thousand voices are louder than one voice with a megaphone.

We cannot leave governance to our "leaders", as "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance" (Jefferson). Similarly, we cannot leave news to the corporate media.

MSM

The MSM are destroying their own business. They are losing subscribers daily. Why? Because the public is finally beginning to understand that the MSM is unreliable and untrustworthy as has been evidenced many times over these past several years. Every time the MSM refuses to run an article detailing the truth or runs an article twisting the truth and that article is disseminated through the internet, people become aware of the MSM's duplicity. If this keeps up there won't be any MSM and from my standpoint that may be a good thing.

I consider myself a philosopher in the traditional sense, trying to be interested in all the things of the mind, the body and the feeling (I'm doing a Ph.D. in academic philosophy). I make my living as an IT consultant and technical writer. I'm a ballroom dancer and run a dance using computer music. I speak several languages. I raised my three daughters as a single father. These last few years I have become very interested in health and in economics.

Interesting, how about the media in the rest of the world?

As far as I know, there is 9/11 censorship and self-censorship in Europe. And what is the situation in Russia, China, India, South America? And Australia? The media are silent about 9/11 here too. My wife confronted a respected commentator, a lawyer, at a book launch recently. The man works for non-Murdoch-owned media, and at one time was the presenter of a program that actually criticised the media. My wife said: "Mr. So-and-so, did you know that a third building came down on 9/11?" "No, I didn't." "And did you know that 9/11 was an inside job with controlled demolitions?" "Rubbish", the man said, and walked away. This is the behaviour of an otherwise very intelligent and simpatico man.

Kevin Rudd, Australia's new prime minister, announced Australia's ratification of the Kyoto Treaty, to great cheers from the attendants at the Bali conference. Now that that fool John Howard, who passed a mini-Patriot Act making a lot of things here acts of "sedition", has gone (in his final campaign he stood not only on his economic record, but on his "anti-terrorism "record as well), perhaps we will see more newspapers willing to start discussing 9/11. The majority of Europeans think Bush and co brought down those twin towers. And the media there don't discuss 9/11 and the US administration's complicity in it - surely one of the biggest crime stories ever - openly either.

MSM & 9-11

All the gassroots efforts in the world are not going to be enough for 9-11 Truth to emerge in the mass mind set, until someone figures out a way to crack the MSM. The Internet is still considered a conspiracy theorist's playground by most people, and by the time it sheds that characterization, it, too, will be totally controlled.
