A retired sales ad marketing trainer, escapee from the automobile business, who reads vorciously and writes whenever possible. The rest of the available time is spent doing woodworking or cooking. Lives in central TX, where the weather is great and politics are dubious. Usually logical and sensible but can be very cranky when assaulted by anybody leaning too far to the right and doesn't know it.

Yes, we seem to be delusional

I have long since given up on the MSM for any news worth paying attention to. This article sounds very much like what I have been screming at my friends and colleagues about for some time now. Nobody is paying attention! The fire bell is ringing all night and all day and no one is listening! Each and every day brings more bad news, shocking reports, stunning revelations and horror stories, and yet we seem to care more about pop-culture junk. The number of homeless increases daily and all we care about is who got bumped from American Idol or Dancing with the Stars? Ms. Cyrus (who is making a million dollars a day, say the tabloids) can go naked for all I care: I have four empty houses on my block, can't afford to buy gas to go to the Dr. and my SS check won't cover the groceries.

This is all painfully real, folks. Time to wake up and hear that bell. Our government has SCREWED us and it's only going to get worse. Take off your lousy lapel pin, stop listening to Rev. Wright and try to remember that neither the Bush's, the CLinton's, the McCains or the Obama's are worried about gassing up their SUV's. In case you hadn't noticed (and you should), THE SKY IS FALLING!
