What we don’t know, and what we refuse to know, does us, and the world, considerable harm. Reality has a way of intruding upon our preconceived ideas. Hiding in fear does not make evil go away; it assures its continuation.

Deception and Disconnect combined are disastrous

I can only agree with you on both the deception of WTC and the very scary disconnect that many people seem to have with reality of what is taking place. So now when I read news items like this past week about a mosque being bombed and the Americans have investigated and all signs show that this could only be al-Qaeda – I  can’t help but wonder if the bombing isn’t just a ploy by the US to kick start a common enemy for the Shiite and Sunnis so they stop fighting each other.

Sociopaths and the Horrors of War

Do sociopaths handle the horrors of war better than people with a conscience? Does their lack of conscience and empathy enable them to continue doing things which naturally tear at the psyche of normal people? Does the “anything goes environment of war” free them from all restraint.

“Thou shall not kill,” conscience and guilt takes a toll on most people, but what about sociopaths?

Many of our troops are suffering from mental health problems. Many are mentally shredded by what they have seen, experienced and learned about their fellow man, and more devastating, what they have learned about themselves. How could it be otherwise?

Kill or be killed situations must be acted upon in an instant, but the psychic trauma can last for a lifetime. “Oh Lord, what have I done?”

During WWII, General Patton got demoted for slapping a soldier in a military hospital for displaying what he considered to be “cowardice.” The man suffered from what doctor’s called battle fatigue, not cowardice. Some might even call it an attack of conscience.

If war is the ultimate expression of insanity, are those who advocate and condone war without reason, insane? If so, we have many civilians here at home who are also suffering from mental health problems. More than a few members of congress and the civilians in the White House come to mind. And add to that the crème de la crème of the Military Industrial Complex.

How can anyone who has never been in battle truly grasp the horrors of war?

.

Good article

One can argue the existence of god, but the issue is not likely to be resolved by arguments and debate. There is no incontrovertible evidence to prove or disprove the existence of god. It is a matter of faith; what one chooses to believe on a spiritual level, rather than empirical evidence obtained from the physical realm.

The existence of god cannot be argued via true debate because true debate relies upon evidence; empirical, scientific evidence. This is why Clarance Darrow won the Scopes Monkey Trial, and why William Jennings Brian was made out to look like a complete idiot and fool. Clearly, when true science is debated, one can come to a reasoned conclusion. Even more clearly, when religion is debated, nothing comes of it but more superstition, dogma, and total bullshit.

This is even more true when one is debating the "state" religion of the US. Most people here have been so infected by the "we are always right" attitude of the United States, they flatly refuse to admit they are wrong, even with incontrovertible evidence staring them in the face. These people, thus infected, are no longer capable of rational or reasonable thought. Once a person comes to this state, nothing short of a two-by-four to the forehead will get their attention.

One would think after the numerous failures of the soothsayers of christianity, people would eventually catch the clue bus and know that there is nothing to religion, especially christianity, but ghosts. Since I have never in my life seen true evidence of a ghost, I am forced to assume they don't exist. The same goes for god. I have never seen one Iota of evidence for his existence. No one has yet to convince me of any evidence proving the existence of a grand supreme deity...and they never will.

The temperature at which steel melts and the heat produced by specific fuels under known conditions is an example of natural law. We know that the steel in the World Trade Center buildings could not have melted from low intensity fires caused by jet fuel, as the government purports. Even if those fires had burned for months the steel towers could not have melted as a result. Jet fuel simply does not produce enough heat.

Absolutely. Now, had the building been made of aluminum, yes, jet fuel could have melted the framework for the twin towers. That's why they don't use aluminum in jet engines, or in the superstructure of skyscrapers. If a car fire fueled by gasoline (a compound with more heat energy than jet fuel) doesn't melt the steel of a car, then jet fuel can't melt the higher grade steel girders that held the towers towards the sky. It just can't happen.

As further proof of this, no high-rise buildings before or since have fallen because of a petroleum-based fire. Not the Empire State Building when it was hit by a bomber so many years ago. Not the high-rise apartment building which was hit by Yankees pitcher Cory Lidel. No, the WTC complex is the O-N-L-Y group of buildings ever felled by petroleum-based fires...and in the case of Tower 7, only a petroleum-based fire without physical incursion by a speeding jet liner.

It is tragically sad that so few U.S. citizens are even willing to confront the evidence and demand accountability. 9/11 and subsequent events were made possible by a systemic absence of reason in our culture. We behave as if ignorance somehow protects us from reality. It does not. Eventually, darkness must give way to the light.

Hiding our collective heads in the sand out of fear can hardly be considered an act of courage or enlightenment. Indeed, it is moral cowardice of the worst kind.

Yes, it is tragically sad, but such is the way of denial. If denial is enough to keep the drunk drinking, even after he has lost everything, then it is more than enough to keep the easily led, totally blinded, and willingly ignorant locked away in their world of lies. The good thing is, eventually, denial becomes harder and harder to maintain...this is called "hitting bottom". Always, one must hit bottom before the veil that is denial can even begin to lift, even for one second.

The unfortunate thing is some people simply cannot overcome denial. Oh yes, I have attended the funerals of more than one person who was brought to their untimely end because the denial they held was stronger than the reality of their motion towards their own ultimate doom. One case in particular, a sponsor of mine went to Boston for a vacation. Some things had popped up in his life that were unsettling, and perhaps washed denial back into his life. Long story short, he went to Boston, shot up some dilaudid, and wound up dead of an overdose. Some thought it was an accident. Personally, I don't think it was. Whatever was eating this guy, the depth of his denial made him willing to do the most insane thing he could have done: shoot dope. To me, it was an act of suicide by way of insanity.

Hiding one's head in the sand never accomplishes anything. Given this, it is amazing how many people will play "pretendsies" with reality. For too many "brave" Americans, the very thought that their government would take such extraordinary means to get what they want is just too painful to reconcile. However painful, the truth remains that our government has done this in the past, and will continue to do it in the future. This is especially true if "we the people" are willing to remain willingly ignorant; locked away in the false comfort of denial. We shirk our duty as citizens if this is the choice we make.

What we don't know, and what we refuse to know, does us, and the world, considerable harm. Reality has a way of intruding upon our preconceived ideas. Hiding in fear does not make evil go away; it assures its continuation.

Yes, how true it is. Yet, so many people who consider themselves courageous aren't willing to muster the courage to even ask why a building built of high grade steel would fall because of a fire that wasn't hot enough to destroy the steel in question, or significantly weaken its structure. Hell, they aren't even willing to muster the courage to even think there might be something rotten in the story of the terrorists and the Big Apple.

I am not a dyed-in-the-wool conspiracy theorist. However, when there comes a case where the evidence; evidence that was clearly shown on TV the world around, proves that what we were told happened couldn't possibly have happened the way we were told, I can't help but wonder and join the chorus of those asking questions.

In my opinion, much that is sited as evidence for a 9/11 conspiracy is tenuous at best, and suspect at worst. However, just because S-O-M-E of the evidence is suspect doesn't mean it's A-L-L suspect. The money trail, the DUBYA connection, the missing gold and silver, and some of the stock market stuff is, to my mind, weak or inconclusive. Yes, these things might be true; however, evidence of this sort can be looked at in ways that could negate its impact. There are numerous sites dedicated to debunking much, if not all of this soft evidence.

However, laws of physics and thermodynamics don't actively change for a twelve-hour period of time, and then revert back to the way they have been since the Big Bang plus a day. It was clear to me on that day that the twin towers had been brought down by controlled implosion. There is not even the beginning of a shadow of a doubt about that reality. The same holds true for the barely hit Tower 7.

Had they covered their lie, and not brought down Tower 7, I'd still think the game was afoot. I was awaken that day by my late roommate, Mark. He woke me and my lover at the time to tell us that a jet had just struck the World Trade Center. We got downstairs and to the TV just minutes before the second jet hit. Ergo, you could say we made a TV Day of it. I was watching CNN as the towers fell, and I saw plumes shooting out from the sides of the towers as they fell. I saw them with my own eyes.

I am no expert on building demolition. I have; however, seen enough shows on TV to know what a controlled building demolition looks like. What I saw that Tuesday afternoon was C-L-E-A-R-L-Y a controlled implosion. As I said, there isn't even the beginning of a shadow of doubt about that.

If what happened was a controlled implosion, then it would clearly put the blame on our front doorstep. Controlled building implosion is pretty much an American thing. There are few businesses that do it, and they are pretty much all American. I am not saying any of these companies actively brought the building down. However, someone somewhere leaked a how-to manifesto to someone who had the ability, motive, and opportunity to take the ball and run with it.

Like it or not, there were many who stood to make lots of money if the buildings fell. 9/11 has served far too many people far too well for it to have been left to chance.

In Nazi Germany, the death camps served many very well. If people at that time were willing to kill literally millions for money and/or ideology, what makes anyone think we have advanced as a species to the point where money and ideology couldn't serve as powerful motivating forces yet again? It's only been a little over sixty years since that time. That hardly even rates the first "t" in "tick tock" on the social evolutionary clock.

When one considers that a mere 3000 plus souls met their doom when the WTC buildings fell, hardly a drop of blood was spilled in comparison to the amount spilled in just one death camp. When one considers the amount of political capital (including fear) that has come from 9/11, the investment of those paltry 3000+ lives has reaped stratospheric profits for all concerned. DUBYA has the blessing of anyone to the right of Daddy Warbucks, and we are fucked times ten.

The good thing in all this is eventually, Nazi Germany paid a heavy toll for what they did. Also, the men most responsible (save those few who could get away to countries without extradition) paid an equally heavy toll: their lives. This fact is about the only thing in this sad scenario that gives me something akin to hope.

The truth will eventually come out. There are far too many people asking far too many questions for the truth to stay locked away. Slowly by slowly, even if it is only the past admission by DUBYA that the hardest thing about the Iraq War was convincing people that Saddam was behind 9/11, the evidence is starting to surface. I may pass beyond the veil before the question gets answered, but I have every reason to believe the truth will come out. Won't there be a lot of people sitting around with egg on their faces that day?

Maybe that's what we need to wake us up.

Blessed be!

Scopes trial

Actually Darrow lost the Scopes trial -- Scope was found guilty.

It was appealed to the Tennessee Supreme court: wikipedia

[...] Further, the court held that while the statute forbade the teaching of evolution (as the court had defined it), it did not require the teaching of any other doctrine, so that it did not benefit any doctrine over the others.

Nevertheless, having found the statute to be constitutional, the court set aside the conviction on appeal because of a legal technicality: the jury should have decided the fine, not the judge, since Tennessee judges could not at that time set fines above $50. The prosecution did not seek a retrial. [...]

In 1968, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in Epperson v. Arkansas 393 U.S. 97 (1968) that such bans contravene the Establishment Clause because their primary purpose is religious.[2] Tennessee had repealed the Butler Act the previous year.

Yeah -- 1968: 33 years later, 2 years before Scopes died, and 30 years after Darrow's death.

assault on reason

Dear Charles Sullivan,

You raise an interesting issue when you mention the archenemy of the Church of all time, Galileo. As you know, his writings were condemned by the Church until quite recently, the late 1950s.
I have given the issue much thought and have realized the thinking about removing the restrictions on condemned books.
The Catholic church uses satellites which could not exist without our knowledge of celestial mechanics, which of course began with Galileo ( who was the first man to offer affirmation that the Earth was not the center of the universe).
It would be quite interesting if the Church were to use satellites while maintaining Galileo was in error.

The Absence of Reason

Charles,
Congratulations on another great article. And I can understand your dilemma at work. My boss is the same way; and now he thinks we ought to bomb Iran. He is an ardent Christian and a fine person except for his extremely delusional political views.

One comment: I wouldn't recommend oilempire.us to readers. There is much better and more informed information available at other 9/11 truth sites. oilempire's position is that our government allowed 9/11 to happen. Recent evidence, especially Steven Jones and David Ray Griffin, has gone way beyond this earlier point of view. It is now generally believed by the vast majority of the 9/11 truth seekers that 9/11 was an inside job and thus made to happen on purpose. I suggest including Webster Tarpley's 9/11 Synthetic Terror instead.

The Absence of Common sense

I recall the words of a former Mormon who said that the duty of it's church members  was to "Pray, Pay and Obey.

He went on to say that the members of the Church were mostly Anglo peasants, "Habituated to obedience."

The political function of the churches is to "Foster Mindless behavior." This translates into: "It Makes the Slobs easier to jerk around."

With this said, the real problem is that the mass of the population has been and conntinues to be so subordinated to our nuclear armed and war fighting enemy fiend elite, that they can not grasp the fact that we are truly; "The Living Dead."

The Extraterrestrials who continue to dominate our nuclear war fighting fiend class, appear to be insistent on the survival of the mass of the human race.

They have directed that our predator class get a new plan; one that does not require the immolation of the mass of the human race.

So far, our fiend class has failed to get on board the Peace train. We are still all sitting here waiting to be exterminated on a moments notice, with most people totally unaware of what has been done to them.

Many of the people of this nation have had their common sense destroyed and can't understand the most basic thing about life: Survival.

A rattlesnake alerts before it strikes, yet our predator class plots against us in a sullen silence designed to confuse our naturaL ability to understand exactly what they have up their sleeves.

Nuclear weapons were not built for show; the plan from the beginning of the nuclear age was and continues to be our complete extermination in an all out nuclear war. Nuclear weapons and all out nuclear war are what they have up their sleeves, and these weapons have all of our names on them.

We only exist because the unknown high level powers have interceded into human affairs.

This fact of the continuing Extraterrestrial intervention, has ended the Criminal Enterpise formerly known as the government of the United States of America.

The "Deciders" within the government of America have created  a "Revocation of Charter." The government has ended not directly by the hand of the Extraterrestrials themselves, rather the "Revocation of Charter" occurred at the time the decision was made to exterminate the human race with the use of nuclear weapons.

The nuclear war fighitng Fiends in high places, ended this experiment in government by force, fraud and genocide, when they gave the go ahead to the complete immolation of the mass of the human race in 1946.

We, like the frog who never senses the increase in temperature, have allowed ourselves to be exterminated by a genocidal group of predators upon the human race.

We have paid for the tools, that our nuclear war fighting enemy fiend elite class plan and plot daily,  to destroy us with.

When nuclear weapons were invented it was a choice point: Either the nuclear weapons went and a Just social order  created, or the human race went. Our deciders decided that the mass of the human race should go.

The high level powers have rejected that choice.

It is now long since past time to create a Just, order.

9/11 conspiracies

A 5 year old friend told me what he heard from school buddies. "If we don't fight them over there, we will have to fight them over here." This demogogery perculates down to kindergardens. Lies built on other lies to cover-up previous lies, the story of the sociopaths in our corporatocracy. If a 5 year old can begin to question this, there is hope for the rest of us.

Charles is right in recognizing the mind blockage in his fellow workers. If they were to open their eyes and minds, their entire world view would be challenged. They have dissasociated reason to defend their world view. If challenged, they become emotionally defensive and closed. The way in is to repeat often and in small doses facts that 9/11 was an inside job. If repeated enough and heard from a variety of sources, facts that are incongruous to their belief system will slowly open up cracks in the wall of propaganda they have been inoculated with since before the age of reason.

The time is short, there can be no more important work, lets get on with it. Thank you Charles
