FOR SURVIVAL, VOTE GREEN

DO YOU LOVE YOUR GRANDCHILDREN? VOTE GREEN

CONSIDER BECOMING A GREEN!

Peace, Carol Wolman, MD

Green Candidate for Congress, CA District 1

CoChair, Impeach Bush-Cheney

CONSIDER BECOMING A GREEN

Dear Fellow Citizen,

THE CURRENT SITUATION

Are you disgusted with the two major parties? Do you wonder why House Speaker Pelosi continues to keep impeachment of Bush and Cheney off the table, despite their obvious high crimes and misdemeanors? Do you wonder if the Democratic party is protecting these criminals? Are you with the 75% of Americans who don't approve of the current Democratic Congress? Do you wish there was an alternative to the two party system?

Consider that the oath of office taken by all public servants swears to uphold and defend the Constitution, not the DemocratIc or Republican party. Consider that Bush and Cheney have in essence suspended the Constitution and are operating lawlessly, with the collusion of Congress. Consider, therefore, that all Congresspeople (except the 15 or so who are cosponsoring HRes 333, to impeach Cheney) are in violation of their oath of office.

Consider that the Democratic majorities in both Houses continue to fund the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, despite a clear mandate from the voters to pull out of Iraq. Consider they have done nothing to restore our trampled rights and liberties. Consider that they will not address global warming, the broken health care system, the educational disaster, the shockingly high rate of incarceration among the American people, the lack of disaster preparedness, etc, etc, etc.

And above all, the Democrats won't restore the rule of law by impeaching Bush and Cheney, who consider themselves above the law and continually break the law.

Consider that both major parties are utterly dependent on corporate money. The corporations thrive on war, and so both major parties support war. The desire of We the People for peace is ignored, although we are the rulers, the sovereigns, under the Constitution.

WHO ARE YOU?

Are you turned off to the political process? Perhaps you are 21% of eligible voters who aren't registered to vote. Perhaps you are among the 39% who didn't vote in the 2006 election. Perhaps you feel that voting is useless, with the rigged machines, the "caging" of voters to slant results, the lying media. Perhaps you've given up on the electoral process.
