Even the BBC lays this out in the open with the headline “Bin Laden threats may boost Bush”” Denmark's most popular television talk show had on a Danish 9/11 truth organizer to talk about the 9/11 attacks, and the fact that evidence points strongly to an inside job, by elements within the US government. Weeks ago a former Italian Prime Minister wrote in Italy's largest newspaper, about his being convinced that 9/11 was an inside job. This week, Alan Miller of Patriots Question 911 (patriotsquestion911.org) released an oped announcing twenty five military experts had challenged the official 9/11 story. When they were asked they said its because they do not have evidence that he did it. Beware Steve Altens Shell Game Mike Rivero of Whatreallyhappened.com has this comment 'Now then, with regard to "The Shell Game." Be careful of this one. I interviewed the author, Steve Alten, on last week's radio show, and I asked him why, when he had so much accurate information about 9-11, there was no mention of the Israelis arrested on 9-11, or the revelation in Carl Cameron's four-part FOX News story that there was evidence linking the Mossad to 9-11, but that our own government had classified it. Steve dismissed it all saying that he was convinced that Israel had nothing to do with 9-11. I had only read the first half of the book when I had Steve on the show, and having now finished the book, I must report that I regret allowing Steve onto my show. The book goes out of its way to portray the Saudis as "bad guys" unworthy of sympathy, and in a way this book is very reminiscent of "Fahrenheit 9-11" which used real facts about 9-11 to point the finger of blame at the Saudis and away from Israel. So, be appropriately cautious. by

Here We Go Again! This book, "The Shell Game" is about a false flag op, meaning INSIDE JOB. The above is very disengenuous. Now regarding the Saudis. Guess what folks, there are Saudi's that play ball with the CIA/militarist empire . . . that's how they get to be in power, even though their people don't like them. (See Syrianna). This 9/11 truth fundamentalism, where people like the above poster say, "IF YOU WANT A 9/11 INVESTIGATION . . . BUT YOU DON'T AGREE WITH EVERYTHING I SAY AND HAVE EVER SAID . . . THEN YOU ARE MY ENEMY . . ." IS KILLING THIS FRIGGIN' MOVEMENT. Helloooooo??? If we can get a mass movement demanding a new 9/11 investigation THEN WE'LL SEE WHERE THE GUILT LEADS, RIGHT?? BUT, IF POSTERS LIKE THE ABOVE KEEP DIVIDING ALL FROM ALL, TO KEEP THE 9/11 MOVEMENT FRACTURED AND SMALL . . . We'll never get a 9/11 investigation will we. GUESS WHAT, THERE ARE MANY MANY PEOPLE IN THE 9/11 MOVEMENT I DISAGREE WITH ON MANY ISSUES, BUT I SUPPORT AND APPLAUD ALL THE WORK THEY DO TO GET A NEW 9/11 INVESTIGATION !!! That is how mass movements are built, by coalition. If you want to read more on how "9/11 fundamentalists" are keeping the 9/11 new investigation movement fractured, small, and constipated . . . read more at: http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_bill_dou_080114_is_9_2f11_truth__22funda.htm by

Israeli involvement in 9/11 is a given. If the book doesn't even address that point, then whatever else it may be, it's clearly intended as a whitewash as well. It's the equivalent of CB_Brooklyn's absurd Star Trek weapons nonsense. by

A review of the new book by Steve Alten by Carolyn Baker of A review of the new book by Steve Alten by Carolyn Baker of Speaking Truth to Power With a doctorate in Sports Administration from Temple University, unhappy in his job, and struggling to support a family, Steve Alten wanted to write, but his rigorous schedule left no discretionary time for doing so. Nevertheless, he began writing every night from 10PM to 3 AM and on weekends, delivering in eight months a novel which would evolve into a novel/movie series about a pre-historic great white shark. After a long chain of science fiction thrillers, Alten has taken a decidedly political turn, and tomorrow, January 22, 2008, will release his new futuristic page-turner, The Shell Game (Sweetwater Books), subtitled: The End of Oil, The Next 9/11, and The End Of Civilization. When Steve sent me a review copy of Shell Game, despite glowing reviews of it from people I know and respect, I sighed and squirmed in my chair. Anyone who knows me well knows that I don't DO fiction-or to be more specific, I resist it because of the difficulty I usually experience with trying to organize the characters of a novel in my mind. Nevertheless, I emailed Steve and assured him that I would review the book and began skimming it with dread. Peeking into the pages with immense caution and aloofness, something completely astounding happened: I found myself inexplicably riveted. That someone like me could not put the book down speaks volumes, and no one was more surprised than I was. As reviewer Bill Douglas points out, Shell Game opens from the perspective of the neocons "THEN, the novel proceeds to dis-assemble that 'reality' taking the reader on a journey that shows the ugly underbelly of false flag terrorism, diminishing civil and human rights, and the lies that led into past wars, and portend to lead us all into future wars." Early on in the book, we hear protagonist Ace Futrell, a petroleum geologist and former college football star, testifying before Congress regarding the precariousness of world oil supplies, his grim report engulfed and lost in a morass of political posturing by both parties. Futrell is married to Kelli Doyle, who had worked undercover for the CIA and the neocons, but is now gravely ill with terminal cancer. In her final days, Doyle is penning an expose entitled "To The Brink Of Hell: An Apology To The Survivors" in which she is disclosing the machinations of empire which are driving humanity to the collapse of civilization. The first sentence reads: "Frankly, I hope this scares the hell out of you." In another portion of Doyle's tell-all memoir she unleashes a litany of the lies of empire, noting that "All presidents lie." Roosevelt, she says, lied about Pearl Harbor, Lyndon Johnson about Vietnam, Reagan about Iran-Contra, and Clinton about personal affairs in the Oval Office. Yet she emphasizes that: Did the U.S. intelligence community know al Qaeda's attack was coming? Yes. But did we try to stop them? Yes, but we were prevented from doing so."(77) Like any good story, Shell Game is not linear but rather unfolds in a spiral of intrigue that culminates in a second 9/11-this time a nuclear one occurring in Los Angeles. But first and second 9/11's are not the principal focus of Alten's captivating novel. He has painstakingly clarified the corruption, greed, and power-driven madness that makes such catastrophes possible in the twenty-first century and intertwines these with the reality of a planet in the throes of unprecedented resource depletion. One is tempted to ask, "With all we actually know, how could this happen?" until Ace Futrell in Shell Game is rudely awakened by a conversation with Kelli's cousin, Jennifer. This fictional dialog could not be more timely than in the non-fiction election year of 2008, and Jennifer, a former campaign strategist trained under Karl Rove, enlightens Ace regarding the duplicity of the mainstream political process. Insisting that Jennifer explain why in the face of all of the evidence regarding climate change and energy depletion, Congress essentially takes no meaningful action, he asks: Jennifer replies: In my opinion, Shell Game was worth the read for this particular dialog alone between Ace and Jennifer of which I have quoted only a small portion. Without having access to a former campaign strategist's explanation as Ace has in the story, I grasped the same realities several years ago which is one of a plethora of reasons that I personally have no intention of ever again voting in a federal election in America-at least until the present political system has thoroughly collapsed. Shell Game's value lies not only in underscoring the catastrophes toward which the human race is hurtling but in analyzing the mindset of empire that has made them inevitable. Alten's novel feels eerily prescient and replete with tragic scenarios that now seem probable-perhaps unstoppable. The book ends with the closing comments of Kelli Doyle's memoir, simply: "Will we ever learn?" I sit with that question, and as I do, another question comes: "How do we learn? What will it take for us to learn?" Other civilizations have created and maintained natural cultures and lived harmoniously with each other and the ecosystems for millennia, so we know that such functioning among humans is possible. It is absolutely possible that humans can once again create and maintain similar cultures for significant periods of time, but can we do this without having to experience the collapse of the current civilization? I think not, yet as one who sincerely believes in miracles, I dare not preclude the possibility. However, I'm no longer willing to say that "time is running out" because time has already run out. I must now answer Kelli Doyle's question with another question: What will it take to wake us up? What will it take for us to learn? Shell Game demonstrates some horrifying possible answers to those questions. It will not offer solutions, but it will take you on a spellbinding adventure that even a fiction-phobe like me could not resist. by

shell game A great read, and a real eye opener for those who haven't looked (or wont look for fear of bursting the faith in govt) at the facts of 9-11. I do agree, though that leaving out the Mossad angle is disapointing. A reader who emailed the author and brought this up has posted their emails and Altens responses to them at this website below. check it out. I agree that this book could do a world of good opening people's eyes, but not every angle is exposed...hopefully people will investigate and discover that portion of the truth for themselves. A tougher read, but worth the tinme is "The War on Truth" by

A Novel Reaches People by Being Fast Paced - Not Comprehensi A Novel Reaches People by Being Fast Paced - Not Comprehensive. What this novel does is it engages the mass public in an awareness that they've been lied to about 9/11. It doesn't tell them all their answers. HOWEVER, at www.TheShellGame.net the author of this novel, offers links to ALL the major respected 9/11 truth websites, documentaries, books, INCLUDING NAFEEZ AHMED'S BOOKS. This author is sticking his neck out for a new 9/11 investigation . . . and all I see here are these intellectualizations of what would be the most perfect book in the most perfect world. ANYONE WHO WANTS A MASS PUSH FOR A NEW 9/11 INVESTIGATION . . . AND HAS SEEN THE CORPORATE MEDIA BOYCOTT OF THIS ISSUE . . . SHOULD BE THANKFUL TO THIS GUY FOR PUTTING IT ALL ON THE LINE FOR TRUTH . . . If anyone looked at these threads, they'd have to walk away thinking, geez, what a snotty bunch of elitists . . . I don't think I want to be a part of that movement. As it happens, I think that when the threads are followed when we get a real 9/11 investigation that there may very well be links to Moussad, BUT our CIA and FBI seem to have been right in the thick of it as well. SO, IF OUR FBI AND CIA ARE RIGHT IN THE THICK OF IT, WHY NOT OBSESS ABOUT THAT ??? WE WILL NEVER GET A REAL 9/11 INVESTIGATION, AND IT WON'T BE BECAUSE OF CORPORATE MEDIA, OR A LAZY COWARDLY CONGRESS . . . IT WILL BE BECAUSE THIS 9/11 TRUTH MOVEMENT HAS ACTED LIKE SNOTTY FRATERNITY BRATS, AND ANYONE WHO DOESN'T THINK AND ACT EXACTLY LIKE THEY DO . . . EVEN IF THAT PERSON IS LAYING IT ALL ON THE LINE TO FIGHT FOR A NEW 9/11 INVESTIGATION . . . BUT, IF THEY DON'T TOW THE FRATERNITY LINE EXACTLY AS WHOEVER IT IS THAT IS POISED TO ATTACK THEM DOES . . . THEN THEY DON'T BELONG IN THE CLUB . . . AND WHAT THEY OFFER TO THE FIGHT FOR A NEW INVESTIGATION IS NOT APPRECIATED OR WANTED. IF I DIDN'T HAVE 7 YEARS IN THIS, AND I CAME NEW TO THIS, AND WAS TREATED THE WAY ALMOST EVERYONE IS WHO DOESN'T GOOSE-STEP IN THE 9/11 TRUTH PARTY LINE . . . I'D WALK AWAY FROM IT IN DISGUST. by

Hey, Tom, there's a thing called "free will" Hey, Tom, there's a thing called "free will". Like dude, there's a whole bunch of articles at OpEd. And like, nobody forces you to read any particular one of them. My question is, why does Tommy go to threads that he has no interest in, and in fact his interests run completely counter to the thread . . . and yet he hangs out, like a dude staring at you when you're trying to make a move on your date . . . . and he's too dense to see that he's not welcome . . . Oh, yeah. I remember, because Tom's entire existence here is to distract, cause rancor, and try to get things his mind can't handle banned from being read by others through his droll little snippings, that sound like that old Republican English teacher we all had that a tractor couldn't pull a needle from her tight *ss. Tom, go out into cyberspace and read what you want to read, and stop trying to get others to not talk about whatever it is your mind can't handle. by

A writer is a rogue goose. All other gees fly in a flock formation; every goose knows his place and time for honking. The rogue goose is undisciplined. He leaves the formation indiscriminately to have a look at it from aside. He roams back and forth, takes a peep at the leader, honks a little bit from behind, distracts everyone and writes on what he sees. Time passes and as he wants to return back to his place he discovers someone else there. Thus he either has to wait until they land for rest...
Stephan Lux against Tom Murphy. In 1936 in the Hall of the League of Nations in Geneva a Hungarian Jew, photographer Stephan Lux killed himself in front of the delegates. He was carrying a briefcase full of incriminating documents about the abuse of Jews in Germany by the Hitler's regime. The reaction of the delegates at that time was that he was 'nuts' and the corpse was carried away with no consequences whatsoever. Well, in about 4 years the consequences really kicked in bigtime. Now we have the same situation. We already have killed hundreds of thousands of people on the basis of the by no means a clear perception of what happened on 9/11. The blood spilled is much more than Stephan Lux's and if his death cost us all 50mln people we only can imagine the extrapolation for now. This is for the people like Tom Murphy. Many of those who cried 'nuts' in that hall in 1936 did not live to see the 1945. You may not agree with the discontent but you have to acknowledge that it does have merit. And either you help or just stand aside and really, go where the greener pastures are and enjoy yourself. That is while you still can. by
