The vast resource of the Ogallala could be used to help the region ease into such a modestly productive, long-term state. But, saddled with the ethanol industry, the High Plains is more likely to arrive at that future only after passing through an economic crash and ecological ruin.

A writer is a rogue goose. All other gees fly in a flock formation; every goose knows his place and time for honking. The rogue goose is undisciplined. He leaves the formation indiscriminately to have a look at it from aside. He roams back and forth, takes a peep at the leader, honks a little bit from behind, distracts everyone and writes on what he sees. Time passes and as he wants to return back to his place he discovers someone else there. Thus he either has to wait until they land for rest...

Sin

I was born and raised in  the communist- atheist country. There, in  my engineering school on the first page of the textbook it said,' Using food- producing plants for fuel is an unacceptable, immoral thing.'

Here they claim to be Christians.   F&*cking Jesus Christ, what the Hell are they doing?

Grow Hemp!

Hemp is by far the best source of biomass on the planet and grows without most fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides to foul the soil and water. It will grow in soil and conditions other crops won't, with less water, almost anywhere from the Equator to the Arctic Circle. It is at the very minimum four times more efficient than corn, kenaf, or sugar cane for ethanol production. Farming just six percent of our available land in hemp could handle our energy needs. One acre of hemp also equals four of timber for pulp and you harvest it every single year, while trees take a lifetime.  Why chop down our trees?
In fact anything made from oil, coal, timber, or cotton can be made with eco-friendly hemp. Over 25,000 known products. All paper, plastics, paints, varnishes, fuels, lubricants, textiles, plywood, structural components, insulations, many cosmetics, health foods, and medicines can all be made with it. Canvas is Dutch for cannabis. Henry Ford built and fueled a car primarily with hemp. The cellulose plastic panels ten times stronger than steel. Neither he or Diesel intended to run their engines with petroleum. The list goes on and on.
All mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles have cannabinoid receptors throughout their body that work independent of those that govern the heart and breathing. This is why cannabis cannot kill you. In fact its good for you. In Canada, Europe, and even here in the U.S.A., THC has been proven to destroy tumors, promote the growth of brain and nerve cells, and prevent Alzheimers. It is currently being used to treat MS, epilepsy, autism, diabetes, chronic pain, nausea, migraine, arthritis, asthma, emphysema, obesity, depression, herpes, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis, lupus, Parkinsons, Tourettes, Huntingtons, Crohns disease, and more. Its seed is the single most nutritious thing you can eat!
The only problem with hemp is that no one knows about it! Our media and corporate America have done a very good job keeping the truth hidden and at the same time demonizing it every chance it can in the minds of us citizens.
Currently the United States is the only major nation not growing industrial hemp, to the Canadians delight. China is growing 40% of the worlds crop and they are developing new technology for plastics, textiles, fuels, foods, and more that will keep the U.S.A. at an economic and strategic deficit for years.

Environmentalists are not that smart

Uh oh, look what happens when screaming environmentalists get exactly what they want!  For twenty years we hear how smart the Brazilians are for converting to sustainable ethanol.  Its so much better for the environment, we are beat to death with.  But now we find out that ethanol is more polluting than gasoline, and that’s just out the tail pipe.  Not to mention all that Stan Cox has illustrated here.  It’s an environmental nightmare alright but this time it’s the environmentalists that have failed to investigate there own proposals!  Here we have environmentalists wrecking the environment by not taking the time to understand the science of what they scream for.  What were they thinking?

In Germany the environmentalists were all for wind power until wind mills started doting the landscape.  Now there mad because the windmills are too big and cover too much land and are ugly?  Did they not do the MATH?  It’s simple really, you add up how much power the country needs and DIVIDE that number by what each windmill puts out.  That’s how many wind mills it will take to replace that little bitty nuck plant.  What were they thinking?

In San Francisco the environmentalists demanded that plastic bags be removed as an option at shopping centers.  Paper bags are the way to go Joe public was told.  Ok they got rid of plastic and Walla now their pissed because more trees will be used to make the paper bags?  WHAT were they thinking?

In aspen Colorado the environmentalist forced the mining companies to pack up and leave because of that awful mining footprint that they present.  Instead of mining jobs Joe public was told that recreation would fill the void of jobs and taxes lost.  Ok along come the public recreating in the forest on snowmobiles, camping, basically recreating as was the choice of the environmental group that had mining tossed out.  But Uh Oh all those people are wreaking the forest.  The trails are being torn up; the snowmobiles are everywhere making god awful noise and leaving trash etc.  SO now the same environmentalist want the forest to be off limits to most recreation.  What were they thinking?

Lesson!  Most evironmental activist are children playing.  They know not what they do.  Don’t listen to them, they have no answers.
