Earlier, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said during a weekly radio and television program that the exercise, the first of its kind in the Americas, would take place in late November or December. MUCH MORE

Israel also helped to prod Russia, and were shocked when “10 Russian Warships Appear(ed) at Syrian Port at Tartus.” It doesn’t take a fifth grader to comprehend that we have stirred up Russia, who view our actions as highly provocative - and some of the Neo-cons actually support war with Russia. This is absolute insanity, brought about because of our own arrogance, and if anyone believes that President Bush has made the nation safer, they must be uneducated or are part of the small group that believe in American Imperialism. The above information makes one wonder if they don’t have a death wish and can only be satisfied when the entire world in engulfed in a war that has the potential to murder billions of innocent human beings.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a true conservative, Independent, progressive or liberal, this is a crisis that affects every man, woman, and child in the United States. We have a choice; do nothing and face a dictatorship headed by an individual that mimicked a woman about to be executed or stand up for the constitution and the rule of law. In this matter, you’re either a friend of freedom and liberty - or an enemy of the constitution and rule of law. It’s time to choose a side and act within all of the legal means granted to us by the constitution to protest and raise as much legal hell as we can. Protesting a President that has no respect for the constitution or rule of law is patriotic. Doing nothing is tantamount to giving up and accepting that tyranny and fascism are a society you’re willing to live and participate in, which is cowardly and downright un-American.

NOTE: Those who followed the links picked-up that this national emergency was called because of nuclear proliferation from Korea which supposedly affects the security of the United States. A national emergency is a national emergency, no matter how many different issues they could dream-up to justify their actions, and the language in NSPD-51 specifically state it can be activated when a “national emergency is declared”, and it isn’t particularly precise. Bush also has Executive Orders that are so secret that even members of Congress cannot view them, which is a clear violation of our system of checks and balances.

The first national emergency (that we know of) was declared on 9-11. It’s possible that we’ve been living in a quasi-dictatorship since then, and this final attempt at robbing the treasury blind - which is the taxpayer - is being heavily debated in Congress. It’s time for our Presidential Candidates to speak-out on this issue and make their positions known. The people are waking-up. They can see they’ve been robbed, and the perpetrators instead of the victims are being compensated, with taxpayer money. At this stage of the game, taxation without representation is a perfectly legal way to challenge this ridiculous effort to grant those protection that made foolish business decisions based on greed and stupidity. There is no precedent or authority for the President to demand taxpayer money to protect those who have made bad business decisions, and if er have to suffer through another rough recession, or even a depression, let those that caused it to happen suffer along with the rest of us.

If the economic crisis is as deep as Paulson and Bernanke would like Congress to believe, this also qualifies under NSPD-51 as a “trigger”, so the President, at his pleasure, can do whatever he sees fit whether Congress likes it or not. If the Bailout isn’t passed in Congress to his satisfaction, look to the White House to somehow coerce Congress - and if that doesn’t work, finally let the public understand that we are now officially a dictatorship if Bush approves the bailout via an Executive Order over the objections of Congress.

I am nothing more than a patriotic American that is doing whatever I can to further the cause of democracy, the rule of law, and am extremely concerned in regard the slow creep of "soft fascism" that has been destroying America's middle-class. I (more...)
