We and them; I and
other.
We supposedly have a globalized economy, isn't it time we have a globalized humanity?
Look at the wild almost
endless variety of Nature. Why shouldn't human beings also show a wide
variety of shape and color and size and belief and custom and language.
It's amazing, a miracle, a wonder. Imagine what we could learn from
each other!
Enjoy the chaos --
the womb of all possibilities. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BUT ".. HOW?
There are big, huge,
powers that think power is what rules the world. Military force, monetary
power. A world that is heating up, thanks to our own stupidity. And
thanks to the big money guys who think they rule the world.
Revolutions always
start at the bottom. The very bottom. Not the big guys, but the little
people at the bottom of the pyramid.
There are communities,
the Bronx, for instance, who are greening their part of a city that
is also the brains of crooked money deals -- through the effort of the
poor, the disempowered. Without much, if any, help from above.
As a wonderfully strange movie explains, the internet is possible through the efforts of people, not corporations, people who for the most part volunteer. They give, for free.
There is a strong movement in the computer world for free software.
There is a surge of new farmers' and other kinds of markets, run by ordinary people.
It starts with me,
then my neighbors, friends, then ever more of us.
I sense this counter wave from the bottom, hopefully, is going to swallow the wave that is on top and now seems to shove the planet to extinction.
Giving, helping --
rather than stealing and destroying.
