The media has lost little time in comparing the Paris attacks to 9/11.
President Barack Obama has given a call to help France and end terrorism. It's another matter that Obama didn't have a word of condolence for the Russian plane victims who lost their lives in a crash in Egypt recently.
Now something terrible is going to happen.
The West's campaign in the Middle East, presently in tatters because of Russia's initiative, will receive a fresh lease on life. They will have the support of their citizens. The West can now adopt the policy of naked aggression against Syria's Assad in the guise of getting ISIS. This just before the talks on Syria are to commence in Vienna. And the G20 summit is to take place. Not to forget the Climate Change meeting in Paris in December.
The nuclear-powered French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is about to leave for the Syrian coast. The West will now have sufficient reasons to wage a war against this mythical terrorist organization ISIL, who is able to stand up against the whole world. The sinister motive though is not to get ISIS but to nail Assad who has survived four years of their machinations.
The US would do anything in its power to make sure that Russia doesn't become an important player in the Middle East chessboard. The turf war has begun. All of us will be caught in crossfire.
