Kiev has been raising the conscription age. Last week they raised it again. Sixty year olds now need to report for duty. My neighbor may soon fire a weapon at his nephews, nieces, and in-laws. He might have to fire on his neighbors or their kids. He may be involved in cleansing exercises like the ones in Snowy or Friendly.
They are Batman
On the other side are everyday people who, after the shock of the genocide in their region subsided, reacted in an amazing way. People from all walks of life; shop clerks to software programmers, business people, construction workers, farmers- all dropped what they were doing and said "Stop" with one voice.
They all believe different things. Some were for moving closer to Europe. They come from across the spectrum politically (right, left, center). When your life or way of life is threatened, who you are as people and what you love is more important than your politics, or what you hate. They are people that love life, their families, and heritage.
For months they tried to negotiate peacefully with Kiev. The protests were about starting a dialogue. But no one was interested in talking, then or now. These normal everyday people have been demonized in the media for too long. They should be held up as heroes. They are Batman. They are fighting for their right to live. They won't accept anything less. Would you?

Mr. Avakov is reworking the mystical teaching of Jacob Frank's repentance. I wrote a book about this subject a few years ago. Put simply: If a nation is considered a person, each citizen is a prayer. Violent deaths through war are acts of repentance. Through the death and suffering of many, purification is achieved for the nation.The more death and suffering; the greater the atonement value for the unified country. For the survivors, the victory is atonement. Every person that stands against Nazism in Ukraine will be purged as supplications. The atonement when achieved, is a unified Ultra Nationalist Ukraine that holds their values. There will be no one left that does not hate Russia.
This means forcing Russia into war and drawing NATO and the US into the conflict.
How little will it take to spark WW3 if that was the goal all along? Ukraine has fired on and destroyed all the buildings of one Russian Border Control. Shells are landing on Russian soil.
Going Forward
You need to muster every reason to act like my neighbor or stand up, say no, and be Batman in your own right. For over ten years Americans across the political spectrum (right, left, center) agree we have problems, agree on what the problems are, but instead of pulling together, here we are. Is this all we are? I have to hope for more.
The clock is ticking but there is still time for America to say no more.
