We did it before, and we can, and must, do it again.
UPDATE. A number of people in the comments have asked: What can be done? The past two months, I have been working on a series of what to do.

Anyone that cares to do the searches will find that I've argued all along that the solutions are really quite simple and easy to put into effect. The real problem is overcoming the political power of Wall Street and the financial system: Political Power of Just 6 Banks is the Problem. And once we've broken through that political obstacle, it will be relatively easy to try, convict, and jail most of the powers that be: The Beast of Wall Street must be brought to Justice.
I also highly recommend the recent diaries of BruceMcF. And, for the shortest, most concise explanations of what the problems are, as well as workable solutions, there is no one better than Jerome a Paris, especially his discussion of the Anglo Disease.
