Look for unusual signs in your pet, and don't be afraid to ask the Vet questions. If you are put off or ignored or just told by the receptionist to make an appointment and that they won't relay any questions to the doctor or any answers back to you, avoid such vets. In the 20 years I have had animals in Santa Fe, the best vets I have dealt with went to one of 4 Veterinary Colleges: Colorado State (Dr. Gruda), Ohio State (Dr. Hinko), Cornell, and University of California at Davis. Take your dog to the mountains, and if you remember this article, think about Honey buried up there and what her death teaches you. Get fresh air for you, your children, and your pets, to clear out the urban toxins from living and buying groceries and breathing and drinking water in Santa Fe. I hope this article will help you lead a longer and happier life in Santa Fe, and for your children and your pets as well. Thank you for reading this and remembering my dog.
