We also need to pass laws to see that disasters like the BP oil spill, the mine explosion that killed 29 miners, and the Exxon Valdez, never happen again, and if they do, to see it is the responsible corporate entities who pay for clean up and negligence, not the American public via the Federal government. I am sick to death of corporations who take their profits privately, while using the public trough to mitigate their liabilities. We need to reinstitute the idea of the corporate death penalty and government seizure of all corporate assets in the case of extreme violations of civil and criminal law.
The time has come to once again put human beings ahead of profit in this country, and reduce the size of corporations so that human beings are actually in control. This is a revolutionary idea, but then our nation is founded on a revolutionary idea. It is time that we remember that simple fact.
